Le Repaire - Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, hotel in La Digue

Overlooking the Indian Ocean, Le Repaire features a small outdoor pool and elegant rooms.

Everything at Le Repaire was fantasic! Breakfasts were huge and amazing, with fresh fruit and baked goods that vary by the day (plus other breakfast items, like fruit juice, yogurt, eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc., available). If you like spice, ask for their homemade chili sauce! The staff was helpful and SO friendly. They helped us book tours, rent bikes, and do laundry. Certain extras like laundry and their restaurant are a bit pricey, but nearly all restaurants on La Digue (except for take-out places) are expensive anyway. All of the beaches on the island are stunning (take the staff's advice and visit everything they recommend!), but it's so nice to have a little private beach on site too. We almost didn't stay here because so many reviews mentioned the noise of the kitchen. It's true that it's noisy, but I brought earplugs and by the 3rd or 4th day I had gotten so used to it that I didn't even use them. I'm SO glad we stayed here!

Very nice design of the place, feels as if you are on an old romantic wooden ship, but on the top of a jungle cliff, with an unbelievable view to the sea and surrounding island. The host was very friendly, and helpful, and the food was home made.

Paradise… definitely recommend to stay for a few days instead of just a day trip! Loved the laid-back vibe of the island. It only has a few cars, so very convenient to get around on foot or by bike. You can stop at the hidden beaches you discover on your way, enjoy the view of the tropical forest, and befriend the turtles you meet on your way :). For a bite, don’t miss Chez Jules, great fresh juices and amazing food!

Stayed there for 2 nights and it was perfect. Although I was unlucky to get 1 full day of heavy rains but I enjoyed the property with swimming pool and took a rainy walk around. They have got best beaches and would recommend to visit Source D'argent beach for sunset. Cycling around the beach road was also fun...!

The island is really beautiful, paradise beaches. The only downside is that the concentration of visitors is the highest in Seychelles. That said, you can still find your spot in the shade on most beaches.

We have visited 3 islands - Mahe, Praslin and La Digue.

We have visited 3 islands - Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. We would not return to La Digue, Mahe and Praslin are much more recommendable. Anse Source de Argent and Anse Patates are very scenic, great to take pictures, but very hard to swim (stones and corals, need for special shoes), flat waters. Grand Anse is better to swim (we had big waves during our stay), but not really scenic. Best beach on Seychelles - in our opinion - Anse-Lazio.

Unique island vibe, very friendly people (local and tourists as well), plenty of food options (shops, take-aways, restaurants). Recommend to rent bicycle and go around island to see all the beaches and spots. On the other hand a lot of running constructions, so I hope this island will keep its atmosphere forever :-)

It’s a beautiful island with stunning beaches , forest and giant tortoises. However it’s overpriced and overall service is of a low standard many times slow with no smile or no interest to make customer happy . It’s hard to get a good clean food . There are some nice takeaways though and lovely people who try to do their best but it’s not a majority . Many shops have no prices on items . Water is not potable and the cheapest price for 12 bottles of 1l is around 15 Eur . It’s not good destination for snorkelling as corals are very damaged and majority is bleached . Nevertheless it’s advertised as a place with stunning corals so we felt cheated when we discovered a reality of a reef . It’s still possible to see some sea animals like turtles , sting rays , tropical fish but not in abundance. We dived as well 2x but as we didn’t like much diving and they seem to us overpriced (220 for 3 tanks ) so we didn’t do more. I personally prefer Indonesia or Maledives for snorkelling or diving . Trips are also extremely expensive - such as 70 Eur for half day of snorkelling trip . It’s a small island and transport is mainly by bicycle (it’s necessary to pay attention at lorries and taxis when cycling ) Overall, I think it’s good to visit for beach and nature lovers , max 1 week . It’s not good destination for snorkelling. We stayed 12 days- it was too long . It’s nice to see beaches but we wouldn’t return .

Little piece of heaven in La Digue. Beautiful place, tastefully decorated, cosy and with everything you need. Location in good, 5m by bike to the main road and ferry, very near to Ray & Josh Takeway, the place were we had the best food in Seychelles. We've rented the bikes here and as far as we could tell, they were better than average. Our hosts Elluna and Denise were great!
