La Fontaine Lagoon is a very calm resort just on the beach in lagoon Durrat Al Arous. All the stuff was friendly and helpful, including the managers. In September, the whole Durrah area is almost empty so you will find some private places just for you. Definitely better than overcrowded beaches elsewhere. Only during the weekend, there are more people staying in the private villas that share the beach with the hotel. The sea is calm but especially during the weekend there are many jet skis making waves. Those you can also rent directly at the hotel beach. The marina with restaurants and supermarket is not far, 2-3 km. The bathroom and bedroom are large, nice and clean. We can recommend this hotel to anyone having enough money and a car to drive there. Including European women travellers because this hotel allows all types of swimsuits.
