Perfect affordable place to stay in the city. If you’re coming from the public bus park, stay here!! It walking distance and you can drop your bags easily. The hotel is big and clean, with nice rooms and balconies, there’s a fabulous pool, and staff is super friendly. Enjoyed my stay here!

The staff was outstanding. They were attentive at all times of the day. We spent the last day gorilla trekking and they provided us with early breakfast, packed lunches, and late-checkout. The breakfast was excellent. The room is huge, luxurious, and nicely decorated. This resort is a great place to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. We particularly enjoyed spending a cozy afternoon there reading by the fireplace and drinking tea while it was raining outside.

If I wanted an all-around western comfort accommodation in this area, I would have to spend at least 6,000 USD. For a fraction of such price you get a good b&b with a comfortable bed.
Everything -the grounds, common areas, room, bed, under the furniture, bathroom, house kitchen - very very clean (the "wardrobe" was dusty though).
Staff is amazing, very welcoming, friendly, accommodating, always genuinely eager to help.
Speacial thanks to Isaac for his superb communication.
Isaac also turned out to be a wealth of information and an expert on travels around Rwanda and Uganda. I met travellers for whom Isaac designed and organized exciting activities in both countries. Isaac can also arrange transfer from Kibale.
If I ever go back to Rwanda, I will base myself in Volcano View for several days and take all these activities ran by Isaac. I would even bring kids.

Just finished up from a 2 night stay at Urogano Virunga Palace and can’t say enough about the hospitality and how welcome we felt. Rooms were spotless and tidy, internet was good, bathrooms were clean and water warm, but the best part was by far the atmosphere. While in Rwanda we had some of the usual excursions and stops, but it was nice to have some downtime and playing cards while watching the birds in the garden amongst the beautiful tropical plants, or in front of the warm fireplace with cold beer were incredibly pleasant moments to enjoy a vacation. The staff were wonderful and always available to assist. Meals were home cooked in the kitchen on site on request and were delicious and accommodating from allergies to mealtimes. Laundry is also available - after hiking in the hills we honestly couldn’t believe how clean our shoes came out. Definitely somewhere I would recommend!

Everything ! We stayed here for a total of 20 nights (spread out over a few weeks) and kept coming back to this place for several reasons:
- Room and bathroom were very clean, spacious, decorated with style. Matrass is comfy. We felt "at home". Common areas and bathroom are cleaned every day and room on request or every 2 to 3 days. WiFi is really good and hot water as well.
- Location is well situated with Dian Fossey museum at +-20' by car/motorbike and on the way to the Volcanoes National Park. We didn't have any car, but other guests did, and they could easily park inside the gate. For lunch, easy access to Migano (26' walk) or Crema (15' walk), or you can ask staff to order for you 😉 For diner, we often had diner at Masha Haven itself (good food, we especially liked the local food!)
- But what we appreciated most was the staff, especially Sandra and the manager, Masha, himself. Thank you for the many Uno games ;-) Tip - if you would like some personal drawing / painting from the manager (he is an artist!), ask him well in advance and you'll get a personal souvenir from Rwanda !
