Prijepolje is a lovely town in the south-west part of Serbia...
Prijepolje is a lovely town in the south-west part of Serbia. It is a convenient base for daily trips to Mileševa monastery, meanders of the river Uvac, Sopotnica falls.
The town is a birthplace of Vlade Divac, one of the greatest basketball players for Yugoslavia and Serbia. His career started there and also ended with a symbolic gesture. There is a permanent exhibition about him in the town's museum.
At that museum there are the permanent exhibitions about the town's history.
Restaurants offer variety of cuisines, traditional and local as well as from the other parts of the world.

If you do no have a car at your disposal you have to walk...
If you do no have a car at your disposal you have to walk some distance to get a normal meal. It is not a place that has a lot to offer, but in fairness I just walked around in 2 kilometer radius. A big drawback is that hardly anyone can utter more than a few words in English. Thank god I spoke a (tiny) bit of Serbian. The surroundings are beautiful I can imagine that if you like cycling or walking you can have a few nice days over there. People are friendly, maybe a bit more reserved, but I take it this is mainly caused by the language barrier.
