I was on a pilgrimage to the monastery, so not really interested in nature or the village, but the surroundings are stunning of course.
The village not so much, the locals' attention is more on profit than cleaningness, tidiness and onesty: the first shop inthe village made me buy 15kg of charcoal by saying there is no other shop further which was of course a trick, there where plenty 2kg packages in the next shop.
Not very christian attitude.

We really enjoyed our one night stay in Tismana, the Sound of Nature accomodation provided us with everything we needed.
I appreciated mostly:
- the structure of the cottage
- the cleanliness
- the modern shower
- the smell of the sheets and towels
- the quiet and cosy location
The only thing that I regret is not staying longer.
Amazing facilities in a quiet area, not too far from the Tismana village or the monastery. Staff very kind and welcoming, always attentive to our needs and available. The rooms were extremely clean and we really appreciated the air conditioner, given the high temperatures. Great value for money!
The chalets are ok inside, clean and tidy, everything as it should be in an at least 3stars hotel. Very close to Tismana Monastery, as we were in a pilgrimage around the country monasteries. All ok as expected.
Nice location next to a few hikes, nice furniture and carpeting, it reminds me of old timey hotel but in a good way. Inside it smells fresh without being artificially deodorized. really comfy pillows
