A beautiful and friendly city in the mountains of Romania.
A beautiful and friendly city in the mountains of Romania. Between the beautiful views, the things to do and the food to eat, everything is amazing. A gondola ride to the top of the mountain is a great way to start off your stay. Peles Castle, the Sinaia Monestary, restaurants with every type of food and shopping...you will never be bored. Most things are in walking distance as long as you don't mind the hills. A perfect 3 day vacay.

A beautiful mountain city, with fresh air, historical landmarks, public bus transport to the main touristic objectives, hiking trails, car cable to the mountain peak Cota 2000, clean streets, great architecture, nice design of the urban furniture.
Places I liked most: Monastery Sinaia, Enescu memorial house, Ghica park, Peles castle
Liked Alex and Wood restaurants.
Caraiman hotel has a nice breakfast in lovely historical deco hall.
It's easy to get around Sinaia - either walking or by public bus. Tickets were 3 lei per trip.

If you're a visitor that likes to walk around the town and not necessarily go on hikes, then Sinaia is very nice. Nice buildings, beautiful park, quite a few sites to visit, etc.
It only has one major downside. With 3-4 notable exceptions - the 2 restaurants at Hotel International, Umami Burgers and (hopefully still) Bistro La Teleferic - the restaurants situated on the main boulevard, between Hotel International and the central park have atrocious price to quality ratios. It's the area with the most tourist traps per square km I've seen in my life and I say this having fallen into quite a few of these Sinaia traps. I definitely suggest looking for restaurants further away from the town center.

Peleş Castle, Gondola Sinaia, and a stroll in the nearby Dimitrie Ghica Park are must-dos.
Lack of ethnic food choices, though. There is a good Indian restaurant, but no Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, or Mexican restaurants in Sinaia. There is a Benihana but other than its grill, its sushi offerings are limited. No ramen. Lots of places offering traditional Romanian fare, however.

We visited in May.
We visited in May. There's really nothing to do there apart from visit Peles Castle. They basically roll the pavements up about 7pm. Wish we had stayed another day in Brasov and travelled in for a half day trip to see the castle.

Sinaia is a place to go for skiing maybe and visiting the famous Peles and Pelisor castles. Other than that, the resort is dirty, sad looking and very crowded. The air seems very polluted so you’ll not be getting that fresh mountain air you want. I would go through Sinaia again, but not to stay.

The hotel's location is very good. Breakfast and the SPA area were both very good. We stayed during the EURO 2024, and the staff prepared seating, a large TV and popcorn to watch Romania's game, which was a nice touch. The car park is large and we could always find a parking space. We booked a mountain view room at a higher floor, and the view towards the Bucegi mountains was absolutely great. Plenty of things to do in Sinaia too, the town is lovely. Worth visiting again.
It is a no fuss adress but with a very friendly service and clean room. We clearly did not feel like taking again the car to find a restaurant so we ate there : it was a very good surprise ! Good food, there again good service. We had the luck to have rooms on the back of the hotel : the trafic on the road is non stop and in summer it can be a problem if you want to keep your window open. There is a large parking and that is a real plus (parking in Sinaia is a pain).
-Nice and very polite staff (reception with all info needed); playground (Ms Luminita connected with kids, our daugther putely adore her- one of the reasons that we are yearly guests of this hotel)
-Rooms very nice design(refurbished rooms); playground with nice design, very high qualitative toys and furniture/well maintain
- Outstanding breakfast - food variety
- hotel in the middle of Sinaia; is an alive place
Excellent location, luxury conditions. The hotel is very nice and cosy, located right in the centre of Sinaia resort in close proximity to restaurants and landmarks and the cable car to the higher levels. Very accessible by car or on foot. It is a very clean and comfortable hotel with a bar and restaurant at ground floor.
