- friendly hosts - we felt welcome and like home from the very first day
- style - lots of hand made furniture, wood, stone, natural materials create a bit medieval atmosphere.
- the views and the location - spectacular, a bit secluded, perfect to escape the hustle and bustle.
- dogs - Luna (a Central Asian Shepherd Dog, aka the Alabai) gets a special place in our hearts. A gentle giant, loving pats, scratching and treats. Don't be fooled though - she's a fearless guardian and protects the homestead against wildlife.
- facilities - the house is well equipped with all you may need for a pleasant stay. There's a swimming pool, a fireplace/BBQ, whole-beans coffee maker...
Oh, and did I mention the hosts? Thank you for having us, we had truly wonderful holidays.

We absolutely loved the staff ,the place , how clean it was and we wished we stayed more. Spacious tent, safety fence, swings and so much silence. Cozy, warm and an absolute escape from the agitated world. I would definitely recommend.

Wow this one is unique - it is an old barn converted to a huge living room and kitchen with a garden on both sides.
This is definitely no Scandinavian sterile environment but like living in a museum. Our kids loved the gardens, to explore and to run around.

The location is beautiful, the gardens are amazing, really big! They are arranged with a fall theme.
The room was very clean and in a good shape. The towels are new and in the bathroom there were also toothbrashes for unique use.
We also have liked the outdoor restaurant: good cake and socata juice!

Beautiful, quiet area with a lovely view on the Fagaras mountains, lots of fortified churches within an hour drive.
We drove and hiked to the Negoiu cabin and visited also a waterfall around there.
We ate every evening at the place where we stayed (Pensiunea Negoiu) as the food was very good, and the atmosphere in the garden was lovely.

Porombacu de Sus is a great village to start if you want to...
Porombacu de Sus is a great village to start if you want to hike in the Fagars mountains. From here you can hike to the Negoiu peak on the nordic west face. Also, you can reach the Negoiu cabin but pay attention that the road to the cabin is pretty long and if you have the possibility take a car, after a drive around one hour you can park the car on marble quarry and starting from there you have around two hours hike in the summer conditions to the Negoiu cabin.

Such a lovely cosy and very comfy treehouse, you feel...
Such a lovely cosy and very comfy treehouse, you feel totally private but with the peace of mind the main house is just across the garden. Lovely little details all around and everything we needed for a couple of nights. We used it as a base to drive the Transfagarasan Highway and do some hiking before heading off to Braşov. Mihai was so hospitable and friendly, nothing was any trouble. I would highly recommend to others wanting a bit of peace in the woods.
