The location is great, almost in the forest, at the end of the road. The road has a fresh coat of asphalt and you can park in front of the accommodation.
You can serve breakfast/lunch/dinner and basically just sit and order at any time on their outdoor terrace or indoor restaurant. The food is great and the service very fast and good.
The staff was always nice and smiling, and accommodated my every request. They even drove me down to pick up my car as I could't drive up because of road work.
Room size was big, beds comfortable and everything was clean.
During the summer you can drive to Pasul Vulcan or take a short hiking trip to Straja or Mutu peak. You can also bike in the area (if you are fit), go blueberry picking or just enjoy the nature.
BONUS: if you are driving an EV, you can safely charge your car at a regular 220V outlet.

The place is nice and clean, very quite and perfect for a small group of friends. The host was very friendly and helpful, she was always available on the phone and provided everything we needed. She also helped with ealier check in and late check out, which was amazing.
There is no private parking, but the host helped us get a parking spot very close to the location.
If I will ever want to go back to Straja, this would be my first choice.

Its a quiet mining town with little to no diversity.
Its a quiet mining town with little to no diversity. However, people were friendly and approachable. English isnt widely spoken and its pretty far from any major city. Its best for a relaxing holiday with little to no activities. I wouldnt recommend it for a packed holiday as the town comes alive in Winter.
