Hotel Denis, hotel in Daneş

Located in Danes, 8 km from the medieval citadel of Sighisoara, Hotel Denis offers air-conditioned rooms, free access to a seasonal outdoor pool, and a restaurant with Transylvanian cuisine.

I stayed at the hotel with my 18 students and 3 colleagues only for one night. We travel back home from our Erasmus+ partner from the east of Romania. We arrived very late but the staff waited for us, he was very helpful and kind. Rooms were very comfortable and we had everything that we needed after out travelling from the east. It was shamed we could stay only one night. Definitely, I would recommend this hotel to all my friends.

Domeniul Dracula Daneș, hotel in Daneş

Located in Daneş, 21 km from Biertan Fortified Church, Domeniul Dracula Daneș provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a bar.

The restaurant is exceptional, wonderful quality food and all the staff there are professional and know their craft very well. The equestrian facilities are top notch - professional trainers and staff and beautiful horses, well trained. The room was large and accommodating, not the most modern design but sturdy and well maintained, nothing was broken or loose and the mattress was ok to sleep on.

Hanul din Padure, hotel in Daneş

Located in Daneş, within 27 km of Biertan Fortified Church and 27 km of Weavers' Bastion, Hanul din Padure provides accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive.

The accommodation is a hunting lodge on the mountain road. Few neighbors. :-) With a nice, large garden and its own lake. Huge balcony and interior room for spending time with friends in the evening, but I think it could also be an ideal venue for a wedding. The equipment of the room was practical, daily cleaning, which surprised me. Breakfast is served in the neighboring settlement, in a wonderful horse boarding house (Domeniul Dracula Daneș), with a choice of menu and on weekends a buffet. Very attentive service, to be honest, we think we will stay at the guesthouse in the future.

Danes is a nice, quiet village.

Danes is a nice, quiet village. For us it was excellent because we wanted to discover the fortified evangelical churches in the area (there's one in Danes too, but we found it closed and didn't had the chance to search for whoever has the key - there's nothing special, that's how it is most of the times). Overall I can't say Danes is amazing - the whole area is and would deserve more tourists.

I certainly understand why the Bethlen family wants to preserve this little slice of heaven. It is slow moving with such nice people. We walked to the castle and there we met a student and a local who would have spoken to us as long as we'd wanted about the history of the area. I loved the pride of the people.
