The room we got was pretty big with a private bathroom. Clean and tidy with nothing to complain. Even if it is called a hostel, it did not looked like one. Everything was in good shape and the bathroom was in the room with everything you need.
The person from the reception was very nice and gave us a room before the check in as we arrived a bit earlier.

For me, the proximity to some very nice mountain trails was the deciding factor, but for other people it's just relaxation and treatment facilities and things like that. You can enjoy restaurants and pools and there is a river ferry service available. The whole Calimanesti-Caciulata area is rather clean and well maintained, compared to other similar places.
