Castalia is a lovely place, that’s basically all you need to know about it 😊 It’s located near the Razim Lake, next to a canal, and you have no neighbours, which is amazing because you can enjoy the calm of nature without being disturbed. The complex is very nicely decorated, keeping the traditional feel of the Dobrogea area, combined with all the new and modern amenities. They also have a restaurant and a terrace and the food is really good, the personnel is kind and friendly, you can also book boat tours, they have a pool which is open during the summer.
You can book a stay in the main building (standard twin/double rooms), an apartment in the area next to the pool (fits 4 people, they have 3 apartments) or a floating home 😊 There is parking available on the property and they also have an electrical charging station which you can use. The yard is spacious and pretty and you can also take nice walks near the canal, you can also spot wildlife in its natural habitat which is amazing. The rooms are quite comfortable, they could however be a little better insulated. A small minus is the bathroom in the twin/double rooms - it is quite small and doesn’t have a very powerful ventilation system, so be mindful of that, it is a bit difficult to take a shower without spreading water all over the place. The rooms have a balcony and an open closet and are pretty spacious. There is hot water all day long and the bathroom has a blow-dryer. As I said, it’s a lovely place 😊
