The staff were friendly. When we arrived we were given a glass of the local brandy which was a nice touch. The rooms were quirky, interesting and comfortable. The breakfast was good and it was fun having our evening meal in the cellar with a roaring fire.

We had a wonderful experience at Arte Boutique Rooms! The location is perfect, with restaurants, nature, and even a bowling alley all within close proximity, making it an ideal choice for families. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. We particularly appreciated the complimentary coffee, tea, and water available throughout our stay. The kids absolutely loved it here, and we were equally impressed.

We are back here each summer and for good reason : location is great (in the forest, 9 km from the town), food is always top, local and fresh, the cook deserves 20/10 😀, super clean and cosy rooms. Jacuzzi is free and better than what you can find in some big name hotels. And cannot say it enough : staff is amazing! Back next summer

A bit outside the city, we loved visiting the extinct volcano (super spectacular!) and the fortress was also interesting if you enjoy history. Lacul de smarald (Emerald Lake) is really green and worth visiting.
The Reformed Church in Talisoara was quite welcoming and worth visiting if you speak Hungarian…
Would have enjoyed visiting some of the traditional workmen/artisans as offered, but we came over the Easter holiday so we will have to make another visit. :)

Baraolt - or rather the surrounding area is worth seeing for the natural landscapes, near there are "Cheile Varghisului", where you can explore & enjoy nature safely, there are bridges over the river Varghis to be crossed and caves to be discovered, endles . You can also find the beautiful castles nearby: Daniel Castle in Talisoara and Kalnoky Castle in Miclosoara.
