If I could give 100 stars I would, this hotel is AMAZING. My husband and I booked this last minute on our way from Porto to Lisbon, we wanted to see the rivers and countryside, and it was the highlight of our trip so far. It is off the beaten path but it is absolutely worth it, rooms are immaculately clean, huge and beautiful, the property is gorgeous and maintained like a pristine Villa, the pool overlooks an amazing valley with crystal clear rivers 5 minutes away, staff is so so friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast is delicious. Really cannot say enough about this place, we only stayed one night but if we would have known about this place sooner we would have stayed MUCH longer and it was so hard to leave, there is so much to explore around. Take the extra trip, it is absolutely worth it.

I liked staying in a home with an interesting history filled with antiques and memorabilia. It is not a modern hotel like facility and might not be everyone’s cup of tea but if you like history and tradition you will love it. The owner could not have been more accommodating.
