My second time, while on the Camino de Santiago, at this place. Super friendly staff, every room has its corresponding toilet/shower unit. In front of the town's roofed market, it's surrounded by cafés and restaurants. Five minutes to downtown, ten minutes walking to the supermarket. Sufficient breakfast, with a commercial coffee machine as a standout. There's always something going on in VFXira.

We are giving this apartment a 10 because Luís is an amazing host. He met us at check-in, helped us move in, gave us delicious pears from his own garden, and we felt that we were being treated as family. The apartment was very clean and although older, was in excellent condition. We were very grateful that we had booked this stay. Also, the apartment was only one block off the Camino, which was good news after a long day :-)
We also had great barbecue chicken from nearby restaurant that Luís recommended.
Local people, restaurants and bars. Friendly atmosphere everywhere you go and lots of free parking. Some places you pay but very cheap. Fantastic weather, good food and wine, i liked the walks along tejo river but you can also cycle.

In an overall nice and calm place, very nice park, a song of birds in the city center, close to the river mostly friendly people, but rare to find someone who speaks EN. From bad things: roads and unrespectful drivers, ignoring pedestrian signs and pedestrians.

This place is exactly what you should expect from a rural house in this region of Portugal. It is a bit apart from Vila Franca de Xira's urban center but not much —just what makes sense for this kind of property,— and you should have no issues finding the house using Google Maps. The place is quiet and beautiful, and the house is large and comfortable. Kitchen is big, bathrooms are well equipped, bedrooms have a good size and beds are fine. The terrace and its views are great for breakfast / dinners. Also, the whole place is clean.
Very nice budget accommodation in the centre of Vila Franca de Xira with plenty of restaurants and other amenities nearby. Breakfast served from 6AM is a godsend for both the Caminhos de Santiago pilgrims and Randonneur cyclists who have to make an early start. The arrangement with an external private bathroom is a little bit unusual but perfectly acceptable.
good location close to the station (though a bit of a hilly walk). excellent shower, much better than hotels often are. very clean, and a friendly welcoming host
