The view from our small balcony was amazing! The breakfast was plentiful and served in a lovely dining room. A quiet and pleasant respite from Porto and Lisbon. It was one of the highlights from our wonderful 2 weeks in Portugal.

Fantastic unspoilt historical place. Streets to get lost in, amazing beaches nearby and a fabulous view point up a funicular. Whilst we were there, there was a ‘Marginal’ festival on during the evening which was a great addition. Few tourists.

Gorgeous city by the sea.
Gorgeous city by the sea. Beautiful blend of the old and the new, from a bridge designed by Gustave Eiffel to a modern shopping plaza in the centre of town near the main train station. A definite Parisian feel with lots of colorful sidewalk cafes and shops along clean, tree lined streets. I highly recommend making this a stop on your tour of Northern Portugal.

Viano do Castelo has a nice maritime feel to it with nearby beaches, historic old city center, many good restaurants, and sits below the amazing Santa Luzia Cathedral. One must visit the Cathedral and if daring go up to the top of the Cathedral (mix of elevator and then steps) for the best 360 degree views of the region, ocean and land.

Best stop in our way to Caminho in the beautiful town VIANA DO CASTELO with the view of Santa Luzia Church just outside of our window. A big kitchen with everything you need to prepare a breakfast . This is THE Place to stay in Viana do Castelo!!!! Absolutely unique, wonderful, tastefully furnished Hotel, decorated with wonderful and very special pieces of Art. Sofia and Rami are brilliant hosts, super nice and super friendly and let you feel like coming home!!! All in all you can't do it better !
The most delightful place to stay - so utterly charming and peaceful - and the hosts are SUCH kind, sweet caring people who go the extra mile to make you comfortable Fabulous breakfast & best salad I've had in Portugal so far. Cannot recommend them more - 10 stars!!! ❤️
Excellent location to visit Viana do Castelo. Free parking within a 5 minute walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of choice for breakfast and we were offered a packed lunch on the morning we left as we were too early for breakfast. Room was very comfortable.
