It had a great location to see Tomar. The parking was a bit tricky but close and personnel made up for any parking inconvenience.

This is our second time staying here. We love the location in the middle of the park right on the river. Parking is great and you can walk anywhere in town. It was raining, so we drove to the Convento do Christopher, but it is walkable from there. The staff is attentive and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Tomar is an easy city to walk around. Go to the tourist office first…the entrance to a wonderful
Park is there with the Convent of Christ and Castle overlooking the park. The hotel Templarios is amazing and very reasonable in the low season. We had a fabulous dinner in their restaurant. Be sure to try their renowned Tomar pasteries.

Tomar is a quaint little town.
Tomar is a quaint little town. If you’re coming to Portugal, you need to visit Tomar. It’s very different than the big city of Lisbon. Don’t get me wrong. Lisbon is a great experience as well, but don’t limit your experience to the big city. People in Tomar are friendly. Our house host said we don’t need to lock the door if we don’t want to. The convent of Christ tour is amazing. You will learn so much about the history of Portugal by going on this tour. A trip to Portugal is not complete without a trip to Tomar.

It's a quite town but very clean, calm and easy to get around. I came straight from Sintra which was so crowded and everything needed to be booked in advance. I appreciated that Tomar was quiet and I could just go to the castle and there was no line or reservations required. The castle and chapel are both INCREADIBLE and I highly recommend. I do wish they offered an audio tour. The restaurants in Tomar are nice and you can walk to everything. I was there for two nights, but one night would have been enough.

We enjoyed the convent and castle and wished we had been able to access the gardens but we didn’t have sufficient time. It appears that many of the restaurants are closed on a Monday evening but we found one which was marvellous so very pleased with our stay in Tomar.

Great town! We were surprised how much we liked Tomar.
Great town! We were surprised how much we liked Tomar. In fact we stayed an extra day to experience the city. It is so walkable, with many cafe and restaurant options in the historical city. There is also a lovely walkway and park along the river. We even caught youth soccer practices at the municipal stadium in the park. The Knights Templar Castle and Church are magnificent! A definite must do. There was also a wonderful Synagogue Museum in town. There is a beautiful main square and church in Tomar. You must go to the Gelatomania restaurant which has gorgeous creations with gelato, fruit, etc. The thing you will want to do the most is simply walk around town at any time of day or night. There are lots of locals out and it is incredibly safe.

I loved the fact that it was quiet and it is a good place to relax. I'll be coming back in the future for sure😊 Staff very friendly, I met Patricia, very cute😊 and the Hostess Telma, very friendly and polite on the phone. I already recomended to my friends in Portugal and England.
Location excellent, hotel good, breakfast simple but nice quality, if mobility is an issue probably won’t manage all the stairs but nice place to stay in centre of town.
Great base for exploring Tomar and local area, stayed before and would highly recommend.
What a beautiful boutique hotel. Can't fault anything. David on reception was more than helpful! Biggest bed ever....we loved it! Spotlessly clean room and hotel right in the heart of Old Town Tomar. Would definitely return without hesitation.
