Good location, close to river and train station with several trains per day. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. Good restaurant where you can eat for a reasonable price and good quality (wines are expensive though!). If you book with a discount, you get good prices. our stay at the Douro Royal resort and spa enhanced our appreciation of the Douro river and valley. we watched sunset from our walk out private balcony. cruise ships sailed by added to the recognition of its popularity. we should have stayed longer to enjoy all that Ribo Douro has to offer. highly recommend.
