Dom Jose Beach Hotel (Plus), hotel in Quarteira

With its panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the fully renovated Dom Jose Beach Hotel is situated directly on Quarteira's beach and offers modern rooms with flat-screen TVs.

The location of the hotel is amazing. You can step outside onto a beautiful sandy beach. The hotel staff were very friendly. The bar and restaurant both have views of the sea and are modern and comfortable. The room we had was fine with comfortable bed and good shower. We arrived by bicycle and they were stored safely in the hotel garage overnight.

Apartment Sea View 20m to beach - TOP Quarteira ALGARVE, hotel in Quarteira

Apartment Sea View 20m to beach - TOP Quarteira ALGARVE is a beachfront property situated in Quarteira, a few steps from Quarteira Beach and 300 metres from Forte Novo Beach.

THAT VIEW OMG. Usually when it says "ocean view" its somewhere in the background or behind another building or you need to stick your head out the window.. this time - the ad was not a lie - the view is AMAZING, you see nothing but the glorious ocean from all windows and including the sunsets... WOW! The view alone is worth a gold award for this property. Everything else was nice and decent we had a great time. Good location even if you dont want to drive anywhere you live right at the beach and there are shops and restaurants downstairs, even pharmacy, anything you might need. if you walk left you can quickly be in a more wild beach, further away from people and to the right you have a beautiful promenade for lovely evening walks. Secret gem - rooftop access!!! good view to both sides and possible to relax there with a drink, a relief to see this when usually everything is closed and locked in similar places

Lovely location, great choice of bars and restaurants, particularly recommend Adega Do Peixe at end of Promenade close to Fruit and Fish market, the best of fish and lovely hosts. Great access to all surrounding areas, Villamoura within walking distance, good local and national bus services. Plenty of shopping choices, lovely old church Ingreja Na Sra da Conceicao, well worth a visit, also the local history museum covering 6000 years of local history

Quarteira is beautiful and very safe for those late evening walks. The beach is immaculate. Lots of restaurants serving dishes to suit all tastes. There are plenty of shops. Quarteira is very centrally located to explore other locations by foot and also there is a main bus station for travelling further afield. Prices for food, drinks and transport are all reasonable. Would definitely stay in Quarteira and at the same hotel again in the future.

Very clean beach promenade, lot of restaurants at different price points, lovely views out to sea, off season it was quiet but there were enough people around that it wasn’t a ghost town. Supermarket to get all the essentials. As a solo traveller on a relaxing weekend it was spot on - I got a taxi from the airport and back as it seemed the easiest way to get there (approx €35 each way)

We enjoyed it as it’s not too touristy, we prefer it like that and like to mingle with locals in local bars/restaurants We recommend Fernandos Hideaway for food and Valenciana for a lovely cup of coffee and cake and also Rosa Branco I think it was called to sit with a nice drink looking out over the sea 😀 Very close to walk to Vilamoura Marina , a lovely place but very expensive

Quarteira, in October, has a relaxed feeling.

Quarteira, in October, has a relaxed feeling. Although the weather wasn’t very sunny for us, the beaches and beach boardwalk were lovely. We didn’t stay long enough to try out a variety of restaurants but there appear to be plenty along the boardwalk and within the city itself.

This place is a bit run down, but more of a local residential area than anything else with a very long promenade. It has a lovely fish market though.. the centre was ok but not a whole lot there and very little to see really. Nothing old or historic here.

Superior room was large, well equipped (sofa etc) and nice and quiet (rural location 2km out of town). Helpful staff, nice garden and pool area and good breakfasts al fresco. Free Wifi and parking. Bike hire was easy. Hotel free shuttle bus down to Quarteira beach 4 times a day. Ubers readily available which we used to go on a day hike in the hills a few miles away. Nice traditional taverna just a couple of hundred metres south for an alternative evening meal. All in all a very good inexpensive 3-star hotel.

Our family loved staying here, the host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Waking up with an amazing beach view every day was great. The flat itself was well-equipped and great for a family of four. The location is also pretty good, you are in the "middle" of Algarve so you can easily drive to Lagos, Quarteira or Olhão. And you have great restaurants, supermarkets, and playgrounds within walking distance close by.
