The hostess was a very nice person and open to helping you with everything you asked for. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was more than enough with fresh fruits, and multiple choises of tea.

The place is on a wilderness which is great. Close to the nature and also close to little village with some cafe places.
Wi-fi works great. Great, helpful owner. In some comments there was an info about the short bed - the bed is completely normal, suitable for a 1,9m person ;)

The house is very beautiful und you sense its friendly spirit. There is a big balcony overlooking the bridge of Odemira , the river and the valey. Underneath there's a lovely green, little garden where in may, when we stayed there, we could eat the nespra fruits, just from the tree.
We really enjoyed our stay.

Loved it all. Spacious, had everything you could possibly need, lovely view, peaceful... we felt on top of the world. The night skies were amazing, I don't think I have ever seen so many stars. We all felt like we didn't want to leave. Definitely a place to go back to. Lovely host was always there for us without interfering. Amazing experience!! 💜

We absolutely loved our stay here! The room’s decor and style were beautiful, with thoughtful touches that made it feel both cozy and elegant. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bedding felt luxurious. We also loved the peaceful nature surrounding the property—it really added to the overall experience and made it such a relaxing getaway. Our host was also very helpful and friendly. I don’t expect all hotels to be accessible for the elderly or disabled but I do believe booking.com should clearly indicate when a facility is NOT suitable for us. The photos and description of Casa da Umbria were accurate but didn’t tell the whole truth. I can normally make it up the 13-15 stairs to reach a first floor walk-up especially if there’s a good handrail. I didn’t expect to have to climb steep cobblestone walkways followed by 34 steps without a handrail ending in a death-defying 90 degree spiral-type turn to get to the front door. Then there were all the other defects noted in my review. The hostess prepared a wonderful breakfast and helped us schedule a taxi and bus to our next destination but she became very defensive when I mentioned the stairs so I shut up and didn’t even try to suggest anything else. I can’t say anything for or against Odemira in general because I was essentially trapped in our room until we left.

Everything was excellent and Alice is the best host on planet earth. Super friendly, amazing breakfast, outstanding location (much better than all 5* hotels we had prior to this boutique place). I tend to say I don‘t recommend it because otherwise it‘s always fully booked when we want to return ;-) …a must visit when traveling through Portugal and definitely worthwhile to stay more fhan just 1 night because there is so many things to do in the area

The guesthouse is spacious, very clean, and well-decorated. The rooms are bright, and the bathroom is spotless.
The breakfast is complete and beautifully presented.
