We had an unforgettable time spent at the property, starting from the arrival and till the end! The atmosphere is very unique and the history is preserved and well taken care of. We had a delicious breakfast served at the main house in the morning and had a tour of chocolate fabric after.

In fact we didn’t stay. We looked through the window and we left. Not only there was no view but there was a construction being made in front of the window at (what seemed) one meter away.
We felt walled.
The owner didn’t propose a reimbursement (she felt we were being too particular) and I didn’t want to argue.

Absolutely outstanding experience! We were treated to a visit to the palacete on our arrival, followed by a scrumptious afternoon tea. We were the only guests for the night, but we felt the family did absolutely everything to make us feel at home. Including an extensive breakfast buffet, made up of homemade and regional goodies, before we were taken round the chocolate factory.
All in all, this was the best hotel experience I've had for a very long time
The property was very individual with a very large collection of the art and culture of Portugal. the house itself blended naturally into the landscape. It is set in a large area and has very unique features where they rear animals alongside providing space as a venue for larger gatherings and short breaks for couples and families. the facilities include a swimming pool, a lake as well as large open fields to enjoy.
Really comfortable beds with a wonderfully fluffy duvets. Greate silience during the night and moring. Horses walking outside the window that kids loved. Wonderfull, unexpected atmosphere of the village of Portugal
Everything was amazing, from the amenities, indoor pool, staff, breakfast. The villa that we stayed was modern and everything was well made. It's a high quality luxury hotel.
