Calm, safe and friendly small town. Services are mostly active Tue-Fri 8-13:00 and some open 09-19:00 mon-fri. Though there are some active restaurants, shops and cafés in the evenings until 21:00. There is a big Gym about 1 km from the center. There are some local food shops, though the closest supermarket chain is about 5 km from the town center.

Monte Real is a small village and except for the two...
Monte Real is a small village and except for the two restaurants and the church, it does not have much life but it is pretty close by car to other hot spots around Leiria. Specially Praia da Vieira which is quite nice and has some cool beach bars and restaurants. The Monte Real Springs are not functioning at the moment so there isn't much else to do around Monte Real
The room was very clean.
The pool was particularly good, reaching up to 2,10m in depth, which was a pleasant surprise since it is very uncommon in many hotels, and there was also a small pool for children.
The staff were attentive.
Right above our room there was a nest of swallows, with a baby swallow peaking, something that added a little extra value to this village hotel.
It is localized in a quiet area.
A great hotel with many options and a fantastically large indoor pool for serious swimming. Also the tennis, fitness center, and gym are great options to stay fit. The buffet was great and the staff fast and friendly. The underground garage made parking easy, save and ensured a cold car.
