The view onto the lake. Two balconies with a perfect view to the lake. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming. The room size was more than enough. There was a good choice of food for breakfast

Great location a few minutes drive from the city center (per Google, about 20 minute walk). Free private parking on sight. Quiet neighborhood. Well heated rooms, comfortable bed and pillows, slept well. Hot water and nice water pressure in shower. Friendly and helpful hostess recommended a nice restaurant in town for dinner. Highly recommend, would stay again.

The accommodation was so large with great views. The upstairs has four suites, each rented out separately. Ours had a view of the castle. Excellent bathroom. The downstairs was so large and spacious. It would be a wonderful gathering point for a family. Although there's no kitchen, there's a fridge, a well-stocked coffee/tea bar, dining table and plates and silverware. There's a lovely veranda with a mountain view. (Too cold and rainy for us to use.) The location is great, 7 minute walk to the convention center and castle. The host was responsive to our requests (heat). Great eateries nearby. It's not difficult to find, just walk around to the back of the building and you will see the AL sign. Plenty of parking in front.

We only visited Montalegre for a short period, but found time to walk around the town and castle which offered terrific panoramic views.
We would certainly visit this town again and perhaps stay over for a couple of days the next time that we are in the region.
One of the most spectacular scenic settings of any hotel I’ve ever visited- the view out of our bungalow’s glass doorway was unparalleled. And the scenery is matched by the warmth of the owner-hostess, Fernanda: she made us feel so welcome and looked after, insisting we take sandwiches on the super hike she suggested we take to the next door village, Pitoes de Junias. Dinner was also delicious (especially the homemade cured sausage) and we loved feeling so close to the village, which still seems home to many local people who farm the land.
The staff friendliness, they make you feel like you're part of their family!! They go out of their way to chat with you and make you feel completely comfortable during your stay, they will try to fix any issues you encounter so you can have the most pleasant stay.
It has great views of the top of Montalegre, while you relax at the pool.
There are several rooms that you can choose from. Their are quite a few with a beautiful view of the pool and the mountains, great if you're in a romantic getaway.
The staff is incredible nice, the breakfast is so tasty and the view was breathtaking, also probably the most comfortable bed I have slept in an hotel, my friend really wanted to take her pillow home (she didn’t!)
Highly recommend it.
