Communication with the host was very good. Keys located in a lock box, easy to get in and sorted. Property amenities included a fan which was not evident upon arrival but quick message to host and it was there by the evening when we needed it.

I've been staying in this hotel for many, many years.
I like the the location, a short walk to town and the castle/town view to the rear is lovely day or night.
The breakfast is decent and usually plentiful. More orderly this time round too as they have restructured the self serve buffet arrangement.
Ample parking (unlike in town)

Staffed at all times.
Good choice of places to eat. Taxi's not that easy to find in high summer. Some of the side roads are difficult to navigate due to the sheer amount of vehicles. Patience is a necessity, "cute" and "clearway" don't mix !

I loved the hidden beaches, both restaurants we eat in were excellent. I liked it enough we were going to go back in December, but they closed down Portugal, so we had to cancel, another visit will be in my future.
Beautiful house in a lovely rural setting between Lagoa and Carvoeiro. Our room was very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed.
The breakfast was delightful fresh bread, fruit, yoghurt, eggs. The couple who run it were very helpful.
We stayed in February so did not use the pool or outdoor areas but they looked very well thought out with a mixture of soft seating and tables and chairs and a lovely pool.
100% recommend this place for anyone wanting to travel to the Benagil caves, Lagoa, and Lagos. The stay is located in such a convenient location that traveling to any of these places will take approximately 10 minutes by car. Gudrun is very helpful and friendly, and there's a very cute dog. This is the best place I've ever stayed at; if I travel to Lagoa again, I will definitely come back!

We liked everything! The feeling was like we are at home. The owner - Ida was very friendly and caring. She recommended the best places where is better to eat Portugal food and etc. And it was the best in Lagoa!
Nice spacious room with cooking facilities. Nice pool and clean hotel. Great value for money. We had a car and it was close to many other towns and Benagil caves.
