This was a fantastic place that we stayed on our way to Lisbon. This is an absolutely beautiful place in the country. It is impeccably manicured and very well kept up. The lady who runs it is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, ac was cold, wifi was fast, bed was comfortable room was big, bathroom was clean...perfect, absolutely perfect. We took time to take a dip in the very large pool that very enjoyable. We got a drink from the bar and it was quick and delicious! The lady who runs it cooked dinner for us fresh and it was delicious. It was a local dish...pork and shells with potatoes in a wine and butter sauce. WOW!!! We wish we would have had time to stay for a few days! If you are anywhere close...come and stay here...you will be very impressed and enjoy your stay.

Hosts were very kind and attentive, the room was clean and as described, and I was able to arrange a breakfast rather early with no issues and even requested to be able to do some laundry on premises which they were OK with and were kind enough to help me with. It was very easy to get in and out of the property as well.
I'll be returning.

I was blown away by the beauty of this property upon arrival, only to be even more surprised by the beautiful interiors, the impeccable styling & all the glorious nooks & crannies that are revealed to you as you explore. Natasha has magically transformed this old dwelling into something very special! She has kept the charm of bygone years while preserving the many original features, while also ensuring you have all the luxuries of modern living. The breakfast surpasses even the most exquisite hotels, with fresh cheeses, meats, fresh fruits & warm bread! The hospitality & warmth giving to you make your stay even more welcoming!

Castro Verde is a small town but staying in this accommodation means you can walk to most things needed, such small supermarket, bank, hardware stores and there was even a market of stalls at the bottom of the street one day.
It has a large church (Basilica) at the top of the hill and sometimes small concerts are held here. The Tourist information office is just behind this building.
Plenty of cafes and some good restaurants owned and operated by local people. There is also a large Lidl and InterMarche supermarket opposite each other, at the south end of the small town.
It is a great base to explore other places in the region. Car parking can be a little hit and miss but on each day I found somewhere free on the streets, not too far away.
The area is also known for its bird watching and tranquil spaces, but not somewhere for nightlife or noise, which is an attraction in itself of course. I will certainly visit again.

Delightful little boutique hotel in the charming village of Casével near the Alentejo town of Castro Verde. The service from the family that run the hotel is fantastic. We had a lovely, spacious room with very good wifi. The hotel is spotless and beautifully refurbished in a modern rustic style. There is a small swimming pool in the central patio and a terrace overlooking the rolling countryside. We were served an excellent dinner for a great price. The town is quiet and beautifully preserved.
Another boutique gem in Portugal.
For the price, everything exceeded expectations at the Hotel Vila Verde.
The staff were particularly helpful and attentive.
The breakfast included was more than just plain continental, with some cooked items, cereals, various pastries and they would even take requests for certain items too, unlimited juices and coffee, pleasant and not rushed, a lovely start to the days.
Location was good for Castro Verde itself. It was street parking but even though busy I could park within one street away on each day.
Castro Verde is a very pretty town; the accommodation is about a 5-6 minute walk from the centre. There is a lovely view over the surrounding countryside. The accommodation was very comfortable and the hosts were delightful. They left a bottle of rose in the fridge and a little bouquet on the dining table.
It is a beautiful hotel situated on top of a hill with superb vistas over the countryside. it is very peaceful, comfortable and the grounds are immaculate. The accommodation was to a very high standard and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent.
