Superb view and location. Excellent, attentive staff. Restaurant is fantastic for dinner or breakfast and a good value. Room clean and comfortable and a bit quirky - like something out of "The Grand Budapest Hotel", but pleasantly so. The pool was pristine and perhaps I should have given facilities the highest rating, but not sure if there was a gym, spa, etc.

Cascais is a small city located on the outskirts of Lisbon. Once a fishing village and defence outpost, the royalty transformed it into a stylish summer resort. Mixing beautiful beaches, elegant mansions, imposing fortifications, and a wide variety of hotels, Cascais is a great option for every season.
King Luís II used the city as his summer residence from 1870 to 1908, attracting other celebrities, and changing the destiny of the tranquil village forever. Modern roads and railway lines linking to Lisbon and Sintra were built, as well as a casino and other facilities. Some of the best hotels and 5-star resorts in Cascais date back to these times.
Nowadays, the town is a cosmopolitan beach retreat along the Estoril Coast, where people from Lisbon and other Portugal cities come for a day or weekend escapade. Many foreign tourists prefer its more relaxed hotels over the sometimes hectic Lisbon atmosphere.
Don’t miss the Citadel, rebuilt during the 16th century in a typical star-shaped Renaissance style. Other attractions include the Museum of the Sea and the ‘Paula Rego House of Stories’.
Beach hotels are the gem of Cascais and you can find a wide range on Booking.com. Check your availability with enough time in advance, as the city remains a popular summer destination.
It is our place to stay. Comfortable walking around the back streets and finding new places to visit. There is plenty of history associated to Cascais and Estoril as we found out at the Archive library. Great stories of how it all became a tourist location thanks to the Portuguese royalty staying in Cascais in the summer time. Restaurants are of the highest quality local dishes and always plenty on the plate. There is also a craft ale bar on the main street, which is busy and great ales/stouts/ Porters to enjoy. Love this place.

Nice seaside town with a fantastic promenade that goes for miles. We found some nice restaurants (21 Wine is Food, Boutique de Jambon). Town has a relaxed vibe and some lovely architecture (next to some pretty hideous modern stuff!)

Cascais is a lo lovely place to visit or stay and is close enough to main places to visit, 30m by train to Lisbon and a 30m or1hr bus ride to Sintra depending if you take the scenic route or not which stops at Cabo da Roca, the most Western Point of mainland Europe. The Cacsais Marina is also nice with lots of good restaurants.its a lovely walk from central Cascais to Boca do Inferno along the coast and then a further 10m to Casa da Guia

OK hotel but we were not told until after check in and payment that the Lisbon marathon was the following morning which would block access to the hotel for our car. We had 2 separate flights that morning and would have missed them. No refund was applicable.
Also what sort of hotel has no wine or beer and only limited mixers for cocktails at the bar? Totally unacceptable

Smashing Boutique Hotel right in the heart of Cascais stumbling distance to the shops, restaurants, marina and beaches. The rooms were large and comfortable, the staff were friendly and really helpful and the terrace was the best place in Cascais to have a drink in the sun and watch the world go by. We also liked that the restaurant & terrace was only open to hotel guests Monday and Tuesday so it guarantees some space to relax and chill. Great place.
I liked everything about this Hotel; from the staff, the breakfast, the comfy beds, great size room with a balcony over the outside pool area and ocean view, free parking. Walking distance to the heart of Cascais and across the street from the beach. My family enjoyed a wonderful time at this Hotel.
Great location. Don't come by car. The best way is via train or taxi. The train station is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Beautiful city with nice beaches 8-10 KM further north. Nice small fine restaurants and small terraces. Very friendly people
The view is amazing, the hotel is on the beach, staff was super friendly and ready to help with anything. If it's windy, its very noisz and a bit difficult to sleep, I would suggest offering earplugs for such occasion.
Great Hotel in middle of golf courses and pine woods. Base to explore the north of lisbon area including cascais, while enjoying the pool, great food and golf in between.
