Close to the airport, spacious and clean rooms, multiple pools, parking for free within few metres around the roundabout. Kind and smiley staff. Overall we had very nice stay and would recommend except breakfast. Plenty of restaurants in front of the hotel. Can recommend Snack bar Neptuno.

Beautiful views across the sea, cool breeze, lovely restful top-floor apartment (there is a lift!). Nearby small shops and restaurants, and an easy walk down to the small local beach. Kitchen well equipped and helpfully provided basics like tea, milk, sugar, oil etc. Host very helpful and gave very clear instructions.

Canico itself has not much to offer, but it is a quiet, clean neighborhood and a 12 min drive from both Funchal and the Airport, however most of the things to do was either in the heart of the island or at the northern part, so be ready to drive around. There are restaurants and multiple grocery stores in the area.

Caniço is a lovely little place to stay with plenty of shops...
Caniço is a lovely little place to stay with plenty of shops/bars/restaurants. There are many large hotels in the area but it is possible to keep away from them and the associated mass tourism.
There is a great sea front walk from the public car park leading to a great restaurant mainly frequented by the locals and this is about 10-15 mins away from the centre.

Nice apartment, very close to the beach and good proximity to Funchal. There are some small things that were missing like shower gel :(, shampoo, soap, beach towels ... also we had some problems with the entrance door in the building but this was resolved fast with the help of neighbors. The parking in front of the building is paid and this should be noted in apartment info. all in all it was a good experince

Great location to explore Madeira island.
Great location to explore Madeira island. Main roads just couple of minutes away so it is very easy to reach any place in the island by car. Many food/drinks stores in Canico. Many restaurants and cafe's.

If you want to visit Madeira, you definitely need to rent a car. I recommend a small car like a Fiat500 or a Fiat Panda because the roads in the cities and villages can be really (I mean REALLY) narrow.

This apartment was lovely, we stayed in Madeira to do some walking so this apartment was great. It had a fully working kitchen, and everything we needed! It was all very clean, and on the good bus routes to get everywhere we needed. It also had such a wonderful view from the balcony!
Best place on Madeira, excellent access to the sea, very friendly personal.
Our room 2218 had a best view. Some other rooms can have not very good view. But surrounding is excellent for everybody. Very good connection for "high way" and after for all places on island.
It's a gorgeous, intimate place with a beautiful garden. The place looks brand new, the apartment we stayed in had everything we needed. We'll
be definitely staying there when we're in Madeira next time.
Nice location close to the beach. Nice rooms, great view. Great breakfast buffet. Friendly hotel staff. Convenient with Manta Diving Madeira next door, although wouldn’t recommend diving with them.
