The property was conveniently located right near the train station, but not in a way that makes it loud. The rooftop balcony had perfect views of the sunrise and sunset, and a view of the ocean the distance. The pool is open all year round. The walk to the beach (plus a quick, 200 meter boat ride) is 20-25 minutes away. There are grocery stores and other necessities nearby. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and other necessary items for cooking.

It was immaculate! Tastefully decorated. A well-equipped kitchen. Nice little patio. Very quiet neighborhood but close enough to easily walk to restaurants and shops, and the ferry to the beach.

The apartment is in a great location, just a short stroll to the beachfront & the lovely bars & restaurants Cabanas has to offer.
It’s nicely furnished & had all the facilities we needed for a ‘home from home’ experience during our month long stay. The extra bedroom meant our family could visit us for a few days while we were there. We have been visiting Cabanas for years & this year’s trip lived up to our expectations - such a beautiful place.

Lovely walks and nice restaurants to choose, from snacks to main meals. The Courtyard serves amazing food for a nice evening meal. There is a new Gastro Pub on the front which is very reasonably priced with good food and happy hour 18:00-20:00 with cocktails etc if you like a drink. You can visit Cabanas beach or Tavira Island both are excellent. Cabanas is kept very clean by local workers and there is a good choice of accommodation to fit most budgets. I would recommend this place to visit.

WE love this place ! East coast so different to the West. Cabanas, Fuseta & Santa Luzia are real bits of older Algarve & we love them.
Cabanas especially, its promenade [walkway] is great with its bars, shops, cafe's & restaurants set behind it & the view with its boats & the ferry to the great beach, Behind is a maze of little old streets with more cafe's & restaurants. Great !

It is a charming small town with a promenade along the lagoon and a boardwalk and a number of good restaurants. Evening walks along the boardwalk were always interesting with the fishing boats in the small harbour and there were a number of bars with views over the lagoon , perfect fo sun-downers.

Escaping dark November in the UK is always a treat.
Escaping dark November in the UK is always a treat. Cabanas was the perfect place to enjoy a gentle couple of weeks in lovely sunshine. Either strolling along the boardwalk to one of the local cafes for a coffee and Pastel de nata or walking over the Ria Formosa to Tavira past the salt flats you will have a wonderful time.
A lot of the restaurants are closed as the season has ended but O Coral was open and offers delicious food for lunch and dinner - highly recommended.

We had stayed in a host of larger hotels across the Algarve, and chose Casa Viana, because we knew that it would be completely different, small, homey, sincere, with extremely warm owner and her brother. A real Portuguese Guesthouse. Each morning lovely breakfasts were offered. In the last century, the current owner's grandfather had used it as a factory for processing Octopuses. Boats to the island are just outside the door, and there are countless restaurants and bars just down the street.
Fantastic hotel. Absolutely beautiful, so relaxing and comfortable. I loved the architecture / decoration.
Homemade breakfast was huge and delicious! Aside from the eggs you don't really get to choose, they just bring everything they have for the day on the table!
Dinner was also tasty and very generous.
A very homely (but elevated) stay.
Wifi was very good.
Super nice holiday area, which is a mix of privately owned houses/apartments and others that the hotel owns- surrounded by lots of green space that is clean and well looked after. We brought our dog, played tennis (on nice courts) and had an overall good time.
We had such a brilliant time! The hotel was gorgeous, the staff were incredibly attentive, and the food was great, we particularly loved the Ria restaurant. We enjoyed the rooftop bar and grill buffet by the pool and our room was very comfortable.
