I recommend going to Sameiro and Bom Jesus in that order on the same day. It's a 20 minute walk on the way down from Sameiro to Bom Jesus. Start at the Sameiro cross, continue to the basilica, climb to the top of the dome for the best views. Then go down the stairs to the John Paul II statue, and from there go down to Bom Jesus. Visit the lake, the chapels and the basilica, walk down the stairs, and from the bottom you can take the bus no. 2 back to the centre.
In the centre of Braga don't miss the cathedral, including the choir and chapels which cost extra but are absolutely worth it.

Charming town worth 2-3 days exploring. Highly recommend a guided tour to the national park — this was the highlight of our trip. We also enjoyed visiting Bom Jesus do Monte church on the hill. It was easy to take public transport there and back.

Brava central was not particularly inspiring, apart from the churches and cathedrals. We stayed at the top of Bom Jesus which is well covered in most travel guides. What the guides don't emphasise is that there is a park and lots of walking areas around Bom Jesus. There is also the spectacular Santuareo De Nossa at Senhora do Sameiro which is a short walk from. The hotel.
The area around the hotel was also quiet at night, which allowed us to sleep with our window open.

Braga is a relatively flat city and we walked to all the main sights. Our apartment was steps away from Casa das Natas and we had breakfast there twice- excellent service and yummy food. Around the corner is Maria Alice which also had friendly servers and a different menu- delicious! We ate twice at a Típica which was unique (no spoilers) and the food was great. We spent one rainy morning walking around Braga Parque which was impressive considering how lively it was and malls near us in the US seem to be dying off. If you want spectacular viewpoints visit: Baloiço de Esporões (need a car), Bom Jesus, and Sameiro.
What a great stay in Braga! Our only regret was that it was only for one night!
The rooms are not only beautiful but very well thought out with everything you need in high quality. Our hosts were perfect, very kind and helpful, perfect welcome for us at our first day in Portugal!
The room was very quiet as well because the window looks to the backyard.
We definitely recommend it :)
Fantastic hotel, close to many bars, restaurants, and supermarkets.
The room is very big and clean, the bed is very comfortable, Wifi connection is very good, and the room
has a very nice and clean bathroom. You can use the kitchen as well.
I loved this place !!! I will come back for sure when I am back to Braga.
Value for this hotel was very good. The hotel is in a good location in the centre of Braga with very convenient underground parking next door (€10 in cash per day). The room was comfortable and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was adequate, however, reasonable value.
Excellent service, great location, great big room and overall such a pleasant place to stay while in Braga. Only downside was the difficulties of parking near the hotel when loading our luggage. Would definitely recommend!
