The location of this hotel and surroundings are exceptional. It stands next to the amazing Bom Jesus Basilica. The stairs leading to this Basilica are a great example of the Portugal art and architecture. Climbing these stairs from the bottom to the Cathedral could be challenging, but it worth it. The whole complex of buildings and multiple chapels create an exceptionally spiritual environment. The large park on the mountain offers excellent opportunity for simply walking and for meditations
The Hotel do Parque staff was exceptionally friendly. We had a gorgeous dinner in the restaurant with the amazing view of Braga and its shining lights. We also took a ride on the unique funicular driven by the force of water..Our room was small but quite sufficient for a short stay. The whole atmosphere of this hotel makes it home away from home. We had breakfast included in the price and it as very good in all aspects: the spacious room, good service, plenty of tasty food and beverages.

Our room had a view on the tiny street with few churches. Nothing special. But the room itself was nice. Extremely comfortable bed, super fluffy pillows, extra blankets, heating system with easy regulation, two windows with very thick curtains. Also room has tea and coffee inside what was very useful on winter nights. Very pleasant staying.
Hotel stays on one of the central pedestrian streets with tones of restaurants around. We were not lucky staying there at 1th of January so almost everything was closed but next day discovered really many coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance.
This is definitely a hotel to stay for tourist purposes - you have almost all city center in walking distance as well as restaurants and shops. Great location.
Breakfast is tasty and full, not many varieties but enough for one or two night stay. They have good pastries and nice coffee, fresh fruits and delicious cheese. So I was very happy. Also at night of check-in we had some sparkling wine in hotel bar. Very lovely

The people I was with did not like Braga. We all really liked Bom de Jesus. It is beautiful, well kept, not too crowded and didn't seem commercialized. The gift shop is not big enough or staffed well.

Braga is a must visit town in Northern Portugal! People are kind, Great food (Diana restaurant)and some of the best sangria in Portugal. You must visit Bom Jesus do Monte. We just walked around Braga and took it all in.

Braga is a very beautiful small city, with lots of history, beautiful buildings, lots of shops and places to eat, the main square is also very pretty, with fountain and floral bed, lots to see, Bom Jesus is a short drive, it is well worth visiting and only 1 euro for car to enter.

Everything we saw (Santa Barbara Garden, Braga Cathedral, Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sameiro, Bom Jesus do Monte, Bom Jesus Funicular, Parque da Praia Fluvial de Adaúfe etc) and experienced we loved and would most certainly do again if we return.

I recommend going to Sameiro and Bom Jesus in that order on...
I recommend going to Sameiro and Bom Jesus in that order on the same day. It's a 20 minute walk on the way down from Sameiro to Bom Jesus. Start at the Sameiro cross, continue to the basilica, climb to the top of the dome for the best views. Then go down the stairs to the John Paul II statue, and from there go down to Bom Jesus. Visit the lake, the chapels and the basilica, walk down the stairs, and from the bottom you can take the bus no. 2 back to the centre.
In the centre of Braga don't miss the cathedral, including the choir and chapels which cost extra but are absolutely worth it.

It's a better 2-star hotel than many 3-star hotels I've stayed at in Portugal. The location is great and close to the main places of interest in the historic center of Braga, allowing you to do everything on foot. The receptionist was very friendly, the breakfast was tasty and the room was impeccable. The bed was especially comfortable and looked brand new, without making those characteristic "hotel bed" noises.
Burgus hotel is a gem. The staff is great, always with a smile. The location is superb, right in the middle of Braga. The breakfast is excellent and served at the table at the time you requested in advance. The personell takes care of the details and are helpful. The rooms are great - and many with a nice view of the city roofs including the Cathedral’s towers. In short, a great hotel. Highly recommended.
The hotel is located in the most famous plaсe of Braga, right behind the Basilica bon Jesús. The bells constantly remind of this. Amazing atmosphere of this place. Wonderful garden, well maintained. You can walk here for many hours. The hotel itself is very stylish with good service, breakfast and very friendly staff. very comfortable bed and good shower.

The room had lots of light, the windows opened, the bed was comfortable. Everything was good quality.
