I need to clarify that I'm using this form to talk about my experience staying at the Hotel Melia, after we were transferred from Fox to Hotel Melia. Unfortunately, by the time of our arrival to Fox, there was a power outrage and they had to transferred us to the closest location. Even though I was quite disappointed for not staying at Fox, they made sure of upgrading our stay and at not cost.

I liked absolutely everything about this hotel. Room looked great, everything was clean, there is a gated parking lot for 11$. Hotel is located in the historical center of the city. There is a great restaurant Lola in the same building, and breakfast in the Mela was also great.

Penuelas is a very picturesque little town where I enjoyed walking and taking pictures. What bothered me is that these cars with souped up speakers are driving up and down the road. Blasting their music day and night and that actually kept me from sleeping well. The plaza with the church is very cute and very clean and I stayed at the hotel right there which was super convenient. And of course Ponce is not far and has beautiful beaches and there are many possibilities for hikes and day trips into the mountains.

Great for hiking, if you play tennis there is a public park nearby(about 10m. In car or biking) with great tennis court. Public beaches nearby. (Not walking distance). Overall a nice and peaceful place to stay.
