The location of our apartment CU Residence Loft Affair was second to none (on the square) and would definitely recommend. Arrived in Krakow 11.20am took Bolt from airport checked in and spend the first day exploring the square and surrounding area. Day 2 Salt Mines which are beautiful but those steps are not for the faint hearted. back from the mines we visited a few bars wodka bar, Irish bar, alchemy bar and Bubble Toast which was our favourite. Day 3 Auschwitz and I would def recommend having a guide to explain the details. Both tours we booked through their official website where you can book an official memorial guide with your choice of language Took a bolt to the mines and a train to Auschwitz. Was confusing to find the platform but I’m sure if you paid at the ticket office you would get that info. We were running late so paid on the train. We ate in the Hard Rock Cafe first night as we were exhausted from travelling. Next was Mamma Mia and it was fantastic and my favourite, lastly Pino whose steaks were amazing. I would suggest booking your chosen restaurant, most have walk ins but it does save a wait. For breakfast Charlotte’s (round the corner from McDonalds) do lovely coffee, pastries and open sandwiches, as an all women group we weren’t looking for a fried food breakfast (Pino restaurant is on same street). I would say 3 days was not long enough in Krakow there was so much more we wanted to see and do. It’s a beautiful city and the polish people are lovely. Would I go back ? Without a doubt !!!

It wasn't my first time in Krakow, neither for my husband but the first time for our kid. She was extremely happy to be in the country where it's snowing in winter finally. We were lucky with the weather, so we took long walks, visited a city center. There were also horses in the city center, people working with them were helpful and nice. In general, we had planned this trip to see snow and we succeed)

Worth a visit - medieval city with castle and cathedral.

Worth a visit - medieval city with castle and cathedral. Usual museums etc, salt mines are quite interesting. In winter the Christmas lights are magical, and if you are lucky there will also be snow. Good 'milk bar' near the square for cheap and tasty Polish food. Good transport if travelling out of town. Harris Piano Jazz Bar is excellent - underground venue with good music but by far the best place was the New Day Blues Pub near the castle - awesome music.

3 days stay did so much and much more to do the museum under the city was amazing and the salt-mine is out of this world you can’t imagine the craftsmanship that went into some of the statues in such small spaces. It is absolutely beautiful.

Krakow is a beautiful city, well preserved and with the most...

Krakow is a beautiful city, well preserved and with the most amazing central square - quoted as the largest in Europe. The Christmas market is said to be fabulous, but we were slightly disappointed by it's size in 2024 and the repetitive nature of some of the stalls. The atrocities of the nearby concentration camps, meant that Krakow was well preserved during WWII and while it is well worth visiting the Jewish ghetto and original synagogue, as well as Schindler's factory (more of a WWII museum than specifically about the story of the man himself) we would also recommend visiting the inside of some of the churches which are simply mind blowing in their stature and decoration. We have travelled widely in Europe and beyond and have rarely seen anything to compare with the interior of the Corpus Christi Basilica or Rynek Glowny. Look out for the trumpeter who plays on the hour, every hour, 24/7 365 days a year from the tallest of the towers of St Mary's. There are 4 shifts a day, with musicians taken from the Krakow fire brigade who may even wave at you after their performance through the window!

My stay at the sky hotel was amazing. From the minute I checked in to checking out, hotel staff were so kind and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself is spotless, no marks or dirt. Room was lovely, very comfortable, clean and modern. Location is excellent, the hotel is right in the centre and literally minutes from the old town and sights. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to krakow. Stunning/amazing hotel!

The apartment was a stones throw from the main square but very quiet. The large bed was comfy, and we had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and the shower was powerful and lots of hot water. The host was very clear on check in instructions and all went very smoothly! Very happy and would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Krakow city centre.
