This is a design hotel , we have stayed in the castle ( main building ). The design is really impressive. We had the William Shakespeare room, very nice room, with lot's of nice details, the bathtub is very cool.
Nice dinner at the restaurant with cool approach to read the menu :) We were playing with those mirrors the whole evening.
To have a Prosecco for breakfast was lovely, but it was only on Sunday :(
Our hotel is situated close to Gdynia city centre, within quiet and safe natural surroundings which provide excellent transport links and comfortable conditions for rest and relaxation.

The breakfast buffet was tasty and fresh. Maybe a bit too small a selection of cheeses but apart from that everything was impeccable

It's not common to visit Gdynia in winter but it has its charms. The food for instance, Pierogi at Mandu, was tasty and plentiful. We caught a movie in Helios cinema, which requires travelling one stop on the SKM suburban train.
From Gdynia you can travel to "the beginning of Poland", the Hel peninsula. The village is definitely worth a visit. We managed to see as many as four seals in the sea :) You can do ship or bird watching - depending on your preference - from the beach, the views are great.

The weather was predictably freezing cold (December) so make sure you come prepared for the icy winds! Local food is fantastic, and really good value for money. Lots to see and do, including woodland and coastal walks, the navy museum (well worth a visit) and historic vessels moored in the harbour, convenient train services to Sopot and Gdansk and the wonderful Christmas markets. I stayed for 5 days, but with warmer weather would have been happy to stay for two or three weeks and spend more time exploring.

Gdynia being the nothern-most City of the so called "Tri-City" consiting of the towns of Gdynia, Sopot and Gdansk, along the Danzig-Bay on the Polish Baltic Sea is the place to be in Summer and I am sure there are already countless of traveller-reviews out there on the many known platforms, so there is no need for me to add something.

Nice city with a lot of opportunities for shopping, sightseeing, going to the beach during the day and to the bar in the evening. Also really good public transport making it easy to get to Gdansk and even to other fun places further away.

The booking and welcom at the propriety went fully online - we got detailed instructions on the appartament, door code an the location of phisical keys by text message. Wi-fi code and instructions on the appartement rules (trash disposal/recycling) where clear an detailed listed inside the appartement. The location is very good - 5min walk to the sea side (bulwar) and 10min walk to city centrum (Świetojańska and Riwiera shopping center as well as public transport; bus tram and train/SKM).
Location is good if your trip is aimed to visit Gdynia Seaport (Ferry Terminal to Sweden or Museum of Immigration or Polish Navy Museum). A bit far for Gdynia city center...The hotel is perfect example of well-done adaptation of old residential building from the 1930s - interesting architecture from the beginnings of Gdynia city.
I came back for the second time to Courtyard by Marriott Gdynia Waterfront and it's still a great place. The location is amazing, the staff is really friendly and very helpful and efficient, at reception but also for breakfast, which was excellent, the room was very clean, big with really comfortable bed.
Staff was very friendly. Room was clean upon arrival and the bed was very comfortable. Location was good and close link to buses that takes you Gdynia and Sopot very quickly.
