From the very start, our experience at Swisstel Cottage was exceptional. Awais, the Front Desk Manager, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even offering us an upgrade to make our stay extra special. He made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our trip in Karachi, arranging additional services and going out of his way to make us feel happy and satisfied.
Awais was an absolute gem—attentive, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. Not only did he cater to all our needs with a warm smile, but he also provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining, booked rides for us, and even brought us medication late at night when we fell ill, complete with an energy drink to help boost our immunity. His cheerful greetings and personal care made us feel truly welcome, setting a new standard for hospitality.
The entire staff was fantastic. Ghaffar, the night guard, was always welcoming and made us feel safe and secure. Tariq, Saleem, Qaiser, Sunny, and Mukhtiar were wonderful—consistently going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They made sure our breakfasts were perfect every morning, even accommodating us at odd hours. They never let us lift a finger, assisting with heating food and carrying items back to our room with genuine kindness and respect.
The hotel itself was spotless, secure, and very well-managed, with CCTV surveillance and dedicated day and night guards. The added convenience of a driver service made our stay even smoother. Over just a few days, we became attached to the staff, who treated us like family. It was hard to leave, as we felt we were saying goodbye to newfound friends.
Swisstel Cottage has now become our go-to place whenever we visit Karachi. With such amazing service, kind-hearted staff, and a secure, welcoming environment, it offers everything you could want in a hotel stay. Highly recommended—thank you to Awais and the entire team for making our trip unforgettable!

Karachi is port city of Pakistan or perhaps central asia but this line might not attract you as tourist. Let me get straight to the point karachi is diverse multi cultural city with awesome night life and great food. Honestly I like food of two cities only Quetta and karachi. /i often visit karchi maybe once a year or twice a year people are extremely helpful
Positives:
Economical city as compared to other cities. Your shopping experience will absolutely be buy for the buck, you can get pakistani, irani and indian goods too.
Tried all kinds of desi foods and i would rate it very good though. Biryani is famous food in karchii but that does not mean everyone sell good biryani do your own research then opt for right reviwed biryani. But at least they know how to cook biryani and pronounce it right too.
Negatives:
Lack of road structures. Rains makes city sink into water
Lack of cleanliness from both gov & people.
Excessive use of pan and chalia(which is illegal). And the sad part is that you will see some educated people using it and doing “Prichhh” without feeling any shame many building now put it on baord like smoking is prohibited pan is too.
Arabian sea beach is great place to visit try to avoid sea view go hawksbay side it is clean.

Karachi is big city. Besides being a business hub, it has good restaurants and food. Shopping is also good with many markets and malls in the city. Seaside is also interesting and a leisurely visit can be fun.

Returning to the city of my birth was an exhilarating experience tinged with a bit of sadness. What made it special were the people who despite their issues opened their hearts to my whole family. You can find all modern facilities in Karachi and can use modern taxi apps to get exactly where you need to safely and with AC comfort.

Karachi is a mega-city that has both commercial and vacation appeal for locals and foreigners alike. With interesting sea shores, shopping malls, superb eateries, business hubs of all kind, affordable transportation, accommodation that suits a variety of pocket-range, and so many places to visit (iconic, historic buildings, museums, old City baazaars, shoreline eateries, island activities etc etc)...the metropolitan is a must-visit city. Provides a multi-cultural setting also.

Highly recommended!
The staff is super cool.. The rooms are good!
The location is good. Quite busy in the morning..
Buffet breakfast was good enough!
The white bedsheets are a bit messy in the room. Should be cleaned though!
Water is sometimes warm and sometimes cold..
Overall it is recommended.. I loved it.
It's recommended if you are on a budget and looking for a good room!
I had an amazing stay at hamsun alongwith my mother. The location of hotel was much compatible to me. This is one of the best experiences that I had. I’d highly recommend this. Hamsun is totally safe for females and families because of it’s professionalism and environment. Staff was so respectful and met my needs in a go on demand. I’d always prefer Hamsun when I am in karachi.
I had a wonderful stay at Hira Guest House. Yasir and all the staff looked after me brilliantly - excellent hospitality and customer service. The location was good with restaurants and the cricket stadium not far away. Hira Guest House was a lot better than a lot of hotels I've stayed at, for a good low price. Great value for money if you're travelling to Karachi.
From the moment I reached (The Reserve Hotel ), the staff welcomed me with flowers and a complimentary drink. The best thing was its efficient check-in/check-out process, which left me thoroughly impressed.
Overall, I had a great experience
The staff was amiable and consistently made sure I was comfortable. I will stay there when I come back!
