Good loctation, close to some very pretty falls and far less busy then Kawasan. It is on the road of the Ceres bus from the port to Moalboal, so when you arrive by ferry you can take the bus and ask to get off here. If you continue travelling to Moalboal, you can just wait for the bus outside the property.
The room was spacious and clean, and we enjoyed the pool, our own terrace and the peace. Samboan is very close (1 min by scooter), where you can find a few small eateries.

The hostel is practically on the whale shark beach, and the staff go out of their way to make sure you're the first one to see them. They even get up in the middle of the night to reserve you a spot on the first boat that leaves. And they don't charge you anything for it.

Place is very remote -- 4 hours from the airport and 45 minutes to the nearest mall. There are many scenic waterfalls in the area. A few historical sites but I found it rather disappointing in that regard. There's a beach but we never went there so I can't say much. we booked a tour to Oslob and moalboal which took all day but was fun -- my girlfriend absolutely loved swimming with the sharks. There are no fancy restauranrs.
If you're looking for a remote, provincial area, Samboan is perfect for you. If you're looking for big city attractions, not the place.

It was a rainy day so the travel is not pleasant nor bad.
It was a rainy day so the travel is not pleasant nor bad. But, when we arrived at the place it’s relaxing. The view from our room was great. At 9 pm all is quiet. The only sounds you’d hear were coming from nature. Such a lovely place to unwind. Highly recommended.
