This is truly fantastic place and off the beaten path place to chill out for few days.. It has the nicest most helpful staff who make the stay so enjoyable and are great chefs.
Can do anything you like for activities, but also just do nothing.
There is a dive location next door, so if to that, can view the manatees. The food is very good, especially try the crab. Great Internet.
Can do a mermaid photo shoot if are into that. Watch the loyal fishermen - nice chairs to relax. Good drinks.
We took a bus from Port Barton to the closet station at turn off - and from there it's about 1 hour by TukTuk, or less than 30 minutes by a van that can be booked.

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed than I was. The Philippines are a poor country. Accommodation is cheap and as such you get what you paid for - No hot water, some cockroaches, you cannot swim in the water because of the jellyfish, plenty of sandflies and no shop to get any relief medication. There is no way to move around unless you organize transfers that cost you as much as your accommodation. A must see if you would like to see the culture. We were unable to snorkel due to weather

Roxas is off the beaten track, a place to go to escape the crowds and the commercial overload. The people that live in the village near Mecaja are genuinely happy to see you and show you around. Mecaja where we stayed works closely with the little community where they are established. Roxas is not for fancy restaurants, and shopping. It will offer you the raw basics and you will get on just fine. Mecaja will help make your holiday dreams come true.

The room was very big and the bed with very comfortable mantras.
I was on my car and accordingly my plans, have to leave at 6 am. They wake up early and cooked breakfast for me 😄

If you will tell the story, who advised you this place-you can tell the guy, who had a flight ✈️ with you in the same aircraft, when you landed on the different island.
The hotel is set on a road behind the main through road so it's very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was local cuisine, rice with either corned beef or sausage and fried egg served with bananas and a glass of juice. Free tea and coffee is available from reception. I chose this location as it was pretty central in Palawan and allowed me to access Port Barton and numerous other locations fairly easily.
It‘s a very quid Island with friendly personal. I was now my third time on Modessa Island. The beach is very clean and good for snorkeling. There are many colorful corals at two sides of the Island. The resort has a shuttle service to pick up at Roxas City from the pier. The price include full board and the food is very good.

- near everything. i gotta give it to roxas town. small town and nice street layout. well planned. you can walk to anywhere. just get a bit creepy at night because establishments close rearly. we went out at 8pm to get dinner and it already felt like midnight 😅
Really cute little hotel in Roxas. We were spsd to have an overnight but due to flight delays could only use it as a day hotel on our way to one of the islands. Staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. Great value.
