The hosts were truly accommodating. I had a bike with me and they allowed me to park it right outside the front door. The place has a gate so it felt very secure and the staff are always watching guard. When I arrived, they gave me an upgrade upon learning that I'm a solo female traveler. I got bumped up to a bigger room! So generous. The beds were very comfy and the AC works well. They had reliable internet. I was able to work though I didn't have any video calls that day.
It felt like a real homestay, I got to chat with the family that owns the place which was pleasant. They were welcoming without being too intrusive so if you're not the chatty type, don't worry.
The morning before leaving for Kalanggaman Island, they served a hearty breakfast with tocino, danggit, fried rice, eggs, bread, and a slice of fruit. I left full and happy.
Palompon is a pretty small town so everything is just a 15-minute walk. There's an ATM by the Tourism Office. Nearby, there's a food park with Filipino food. Jollibee and Goldilocks are also within walking distance.
Situated in Palompon in the Visayas region, FN Lodge - town proper features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

We loved the clean and tidy room with a large fridge and good AC with fan. Central location close to Mr D restaurant which has great food and cold beer. Close to the port so easy if you are travelling to Bogo City. We only stayed one night but have stated longer if we had time. Friendly owners and the best placed we stayed as it was hotel number 4 for us in 5 days. Highly recommend, first class.
Palompon is just a entry way to Kalanggaman Island.
Palompon is just a entry way to Kalanggaman Island. There is nothing much in the town so rather stay there the shortest time possible. They do have a morning market with lots of seafoods and local delicacies, which is perfect for when you want to bring food with you to the island. Good restaurants are wanting and so the only option was a Jollibee. What I didn't like was how one of the officers, Rex, in the Palompon Eco Tourism office tricked us into paying a lot more than what we should. The fare Php3500 on the boat must be divided amongst the passengers with maximum of 15 people. Initially he said we were just 10 and so we paid accordingly, but then he added 5 more passengers after we all have paid and left the boat as soon as the motor started.
