Property is just avg, nothing as described over portal. sea side is quite dirty and not managed. Pool area is not that clean, manpower seems like none. Guest service post check-in is not good at all as well. Overall no to recommendation and not visiting again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Kulintang with my family, and it was a wonderful vacation! The homestay is nestled in a quiet, serene, and tranquil location, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you’re a nature lover, this place is definitely worth booking.
One unique aspect of getting there is the boat ride required to reach the homestay. While it adds to the charm of the experience, I found it a bit challenging during low tide, so be prepared for that. A highlight of our stay was the culinary experience provided by Chris, the chef. For just P500, he prepared all the meals we requested, and each dish was delightful. His cooking truly enhanced our stay, making us want for more.
Additionally, Villa Kulintang is pet-friendly, which was a delightful bonus. Pidong, the resident dog, is charming and friendly, making it a welcoming atmosphere for animal lovers. Overall, Villa Kulintang is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to unwind and immerse themselves in nature. I highly recommend it!

We upgraded to the room with aircon and a private bathroom because of the extreme heat. It was spacious, cool, clean and comfy. Bathroom is old, but clean and enough waterpressure. Location near the city center was perfect for us. Nice host and sweet cat :)

Butanding!!!!!! That's what Donsol is for. Oh for peace of mind at a beach resort too. But once you land you will be tempted to go for the whale shark viewing. When I say viewing, please remember that the best viewing is when you jump into the sea and not from the comfort of the boat. Even if you don't know how to swim, worry not they will give you snorkelling masks, life jacket and flippers. So you can jump into the open sea and earn bragging rights. Seeing these gentle giants is a privilege. Be sure you will be well taken care of by your Butanding Interaction Officer - who will accompany your group of 6 in a boat, and if you are in the water and are panicking, he will be your life-guard too and pluck you out and bring you back to the safety of the boat.
Close to Donsol is the volcano Mt Mayon. Its so huge that when you go for your Butanding, while the spotter search for the elusive whale sharks, you can marvel at Mount Mayon rising up from the hinterland beyond. In fact the volcano in the background makes for an awesome pic on a clear day.
However, I request Booking.com to try and sign up other resorts in Donsol also. I saw at least two other resorts which the Booking.com members should have as an option when they are planning their trip. One had better maintained rooms and the other had better food.

The property is located exceptionally well on top of a hill of an island, hence only accessible by boat
It is beautiful appointed in a European style
The views from the property are amazing- and it is so quiet
But the highlight must be the staff who took care of me incredibly well, nothing was too much; and the meals cooked by Chris were all delicious
I have stayed in many 5 star Hotels around the world, but this is certainly something very special

This was a lovely calm little place to stay in Donsol. Our host was very helpful, understanding when we got back late from the whale shark tour and had to pick up our bags. He put us in touch with a lovely lady called Welcy who was so helpful at arranging our whale shark tour (we saw 3!).
There was a little shared outdoor shower that suited us well.
It was a short walk into the sort of 'town' area of Legazpi and a nice homemade pizza place called Lola King.
Roberto and his family are super nice hosts. The place is very conveniently located in Donsol if you want to do the whale shark tour and visit the surroundings. They allowed us early check in and late check out. Roberto helped us to manage transportation and was very friendly. They have a restaurant, which is very nice. The rooms are clean and have AC and hot water. Totally recommend it!
Very friendly host, good location, friendly family and people around. Had great conversations with the host and I would absolutely stay again when I revisit Donsol.
Tried the famous omelette and it was delicious. The host woke up super early to drive me to the airport and she made me breakfast.
If you want a warm local vibe, this is the place for you.
The location in Donsol, and the welcoming of the owner, she was super nice and at the service of the guests.
The room is simple but efficient.
