If you’re a backpacker looking to get away from dorms for a few days and find a different, basic yet magical experience, you have to go here, also Jon Jon, the owner, is a very interesting and nice person, and he frequently does amazing fire shows at the restaurant by the beach. Review for Malapascua Island: Perfect for diving (thresher sharks) and snorkeling, otherwise not much to do there. Recommendation - compare prices for fun dives at different dive shops, some are very pricy.
The north beach was a disapointment - some smaller sections of the beach are cleaned, others very dirty and smelling like rotten animals. Not much to see in the water while snorkeling there.
