excellent breakfast, beach a bit messy, nice pool. the overwater bungalows were difficult to get into the lagoon as the coral was very shallow and you would have cut yourself getting into the water, not all bungalows were like that

We had the place to ourselves so relaxed straight into the tranquil setting. The bed was very comfortable. The open-air kitchen area above the bungalow had fabulous views and was well maintained. Best of all, the pool was fabulous and we used it frequently to cool down from the heat. The gardens also are very well maintained and have plenty of fruit trees (papaya, passion fruit, etc). There were plenty of birds that came to visit.
It is about 1km from the centre of Maharepa, where there are restaurants, shops, etc. which can be very hot to walk in the day and dark to walk back at night, but we managed without too much of a problem. There is a supermarket about 150m from the property which was well stocked - the fresh tuna was amazing value.
The host, Laurent, was very helpful and kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the airport.

The Maharepa location was perfect for us. We did rent a car and it is great to have transportation so you can easily see the whole island. I would highly recommend Maharepa and Chez Jay to anyone looking to travel to Moorea.

It was an amazing experience for me and my group.
It was an amazing experience for me and my group. We loved everything about our stay. We stayed in the Garden view and pool bungalow and also the Premium Overwater bungalow, having our own private pool and being able to have a swim right by our Overwater bungalow was the highlights of our stay. Great facilities around the resort. I highly recommend Manava beach Resort to others.

Ideal setting, our room was private with a small garden area and plunge pool. Staff were always helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable, and the room clean, and tidied daily. You can choose to go to the hotel pool, or beach, or use your own plunge pool. The restaurant food is reasonable, and there is a snack bar located near the pool. There is also a range of cultural, sea and land activities to engage in, or just relax in the hotel setting.
Get the beach bungalows, immediate access to the beach and ocean. The overwater bungalows aren't thst special.
- welcome is OK: drinks, a flower and a small tour
- cozy rooms, even if small
- drinkable tap water
- occasional shows in the evening
- a steakhouse just across the road if you're not satisfied with the hotel restaurant
