Great location, very helpful and friendly staff, clean and nice rooms. After checkout we went up to visit Machu Picchu and were soaked afterwards because of the rain. They let us use the shower even after checkout and were able to dry our clothes. Really made a big difference!

The lady at the reception was extremely nice. She waited for us at the train station which is right outside the hostel (perfect location, and as the trains don't go at night, we didn't have a problem with sleeping). Then she explained in detail how we will get to Machu Picchu the next day and what time we should go, and some extra details that were very helpful. She prepared lunchbox for us for the tour next day, and she let us leave our luggages at the hostel until our train left in the evening. The room was okay, bed was comfortable and she provided a hairdryer too.

When I asked for a refund since I would not be staying there because my expectations of noise and cleanliness were not met, the concierge gave a 40% refund. Apparently they have been suffering due to construction of some part of the town close by. I appreciate the effort the staff member went to in order to help us.
