Lovely stay with a lovely family on Amantani. The room had a comfy bed, heating and a hot shower which was amazing for Amantani. The family were lovely and provided delicious meals. The location was great for us, close to the Plaza de Armas and a short but hard walk to the top of the island.

Ease of collecting and not worrying about your suitcases, picking you up from the airport, coordinating activities in the community to visit other islands such as Taquile or taking you back to the airport. EVERYTHING! This was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever done during years of travelling. Luquina and its community are a very special place, surrounded by peace and nature. Guido and his lovely family are extremely welcoming and they always give suggestions on activities to do inside or outside the community. Communication is very clear and we loved spending time with them. This gives you a great chance to see what real life around Titicaca like it’s like. Food is home cooked and everything was absolutely delicious and for a very fair price. I can’t recommend this place enough and, if I could, I would go back there right now! Our stay on Amantani Island was one of the most memorable experiences of our travels in Peru. We were warmly welcomed by Josè Luis, who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Despite the simplicity of life on Amantani, their warmth and generosity made us feel like we had everything we needed.
