Comfortable room, amazing view from balcony and from infinity pool. Beautiful hotel, very clean and inviting, AC in room works great, David and Maria are excellent hosts and can arrange a boat tour around the island or to see the whales during their migration. Convenient location right at the end of the pier. Dinner at Calaloo was good and Sabor isleño restaurante has a great deck overlooking the beach where you can relax and enjoy a meal.

Our host Vicky was super friendly and took care of us very well during our stay. From the moment we booked our room she gave us great tips and advise for our trip and helped us find the best trails to explore around the island. Our room was small but had everything we needed to be comfortable plus even towels for the beach! The location is absolutely beautiful with amaIng views and ambiance on the terrace just outside our room. When we are ever in Taboga again we will be staying here!

Great location, clean room, air conditioning! We were on the top floor and had a great room. That said, our friend was in a ground level room and it was much noisier. The property is clean and beautiful and had everything we needed.

A nice getaway from the city, there are relaxing spots and party spots. You can walk the whole island in no time or take a golf cart where you want to go. Overall the island is very dirty though and might not be the right vibe for some. Most of the beaches have trash everywhere and many trash containers overflow. Folks will tell you the trash come from the city but there is plenty generated here on the island. Honda beach seems a bit cleaner but when the tide comes in about 90% of the beach disappears. For a good meal in and a fantastic view visit Villa Capriocha, its costs a bit more bet definately worth it.

I advise to stay min for 2 nights as it is truly different when all "one day tourists" come and go and you have all island to yourself. The city itself is faced the sunrise so you can start you day early and enjoy it and till 10 am there will be few people and the crowd mainly leave at 15:45, hence you back to quite again.
Although not many restaurant are opened after 19:30 but you can always enjoy your drink on the beach to in the hotel + to be in quite with yourself.

The island has a lot of potential for tourism.
The island has a lot of potential for tourism. Right now they need to invest more in their beach facilities, maybe a better "food court" or food area with better chairs and tables. Also they need to make sure visitors pick up their trash after them.

The beach is lovely...its worth walking along the sandbar and rest on / near the little island. Lots of cheap food and drink on offer at the beach and some shopping. A few other good places to eat near ferry point. I loved Mundi's. Evening options limited. This is really a beach and walking location (if you start early in the day...Hot!). There is limited offer for food, drink, shopping. But thats the beauty of the place.....

Taboga is a lovely spot for soaking up the sun.
Taboga is a lovely spot for soaking up the sun. It's only 30mins ferry -$24 return- from Panama City and charming. If you are doing a day trip make sure you have booked your return in advance particularly on the weekends when it is a big hit with locals too.

Taboga Island was very relaxing and quiet.
Taboga Island was very relaxing and quiet. My favorite place to go there was the cafe in the church plaza. Also, on low tide, you can lounge on the beach that stretches to the small island nearby. Unfortunately, most of the restaurants and water activities do not open every day or sometimes at all on the days that they are supposed to be open. It can be hard to find food at night so it is a good idea to make reservations at the callaloo restaurant. And make sure that your hotel is not next to a chicken coop because of the noise. We had a very positive experience staying on the island. We went for a very long hike and got lost on the way down but it was very worth it for the view. It was very nice to get out of the city and go to the beach on Taboga Island. The ferry that takes you to the island for $10 each way is called tabogaexpress and they also do snorkeling tours. They are very friendly and were so accommodating to us. It was a great experience!
The staff were very friendly and Mr. Dave, the owner, was delightful and eager to help. The view from the room was spectacular, Taboga is a beautiful place to get relax, a nice tan, and read a good book. Beaches are clean and water is clear, we really enjoy our trip. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Taboga.
A beautiful property on a tranquil island only 40 minutes from bustling Panama City. Beautifully decorated and appointed, this hotel is a great get away. With its restaurant, Villa Caprichosa is the only place you need to go in Taboga. But visit the town and enjoy its laid back charms.
The place was absolutely stunning - a gorgeous little island with such friendly and humble people.
The hotel was one of the nicest I've stayed in. Delicious breakfast.
Would definitely recommend!
Breakfast was good (though charge extra $2 for things like bacon etc which is strange. Dinner good. Beautiful and interesting view (ships waiting for Panama Canal). A special hotel
Taboga Palace is exceptionally clean, with a beautiful infinity pool. All of the staff are delightful and can not do enough for all guests. A very special experience.
