My experience turned out to be so positive. I arrived in the evening and it was dark, I travel about 5-6 months out the year and I haven't stayed in a hostel for a long time. At first I was having second thoughts and about to leave but the host and hostess (a husband and wife) were so engaging and friendly, I stayed. I had the private room which had a private bathroom. It was perfect for me. The Wifi didn't work so well for me, I had to hotspot off my phone because I work remote. The environment was so peaceful, yet full of life during the day when people are using the pool and eating at the restaurant but it was never too noisy for me to do my remote work. Very convenient location, there's 2 stores right up the block, the main street is about 2 blocks, you can get taxis to go into downtown (bajo) where are the activities and shops are for $1 or less, you can even take the bus to downtown or the major location in David where are the big retailers are for less than $2. The water pressure was good and the water was hot when can sometimes be a challenge in Boquete. The is a kitchen with utensils to cook, store food and drinks etc. I was able to make my coffee every morning and save alot by cooking my own food.
