The location is good. Don't need 4x4 to reach Home X4. The vila has 4 appartments. Each appartment has separate entrance, spacious, we stayed with 3 kids. Single beds are wide, so we put together 2 beds and kids slept on it well. Every apartment contains kitchen.

We stayed one night in this absolutely amazing place. It’s about a 35-minute drive from the main road, and the journey to the camp is already an incredible experience. We stayed in a tent, which was super comfortable and for me, felt like pure luxury—having light, water, and other amenities in the middle of the desert. The tent is spacious, offering more than enough room for two people. It wasn't to cold in the tent at night (december).
The area is beautifully set up with a cozy chill-out tent and a dining space. The staff, a group of young Bangladeshi mens, were incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They prepared a delicious dinner for us with grilled chicken, grilled camel meat, and several side dishes with rice—everything was absolutely flavorful. For breakfast, they cooked fresh Omani bread and a potato curry, which was tasty.
In the evening, they organized a small campfire, which added a wonderful touch to the experience. The team does an excellent job and I hope they are well paid for their hard work!
Additional activities like camel riding and more are available. This place is truly recommendable, and spending a night under the breathtaking desert stars is unforgettable.

For an average hotel this would be a bad review. But one chooses this property precisely for getting a different experience. We had our own tents without other guests. Quite secluded. Good dinner and breakfast is included. With a 4x4 or AWD you can drive to their houses. After that you have to drive to your own tent, which can be tricky in that deep sand. They provide assistance. You have a toilet, cold shower and running tap water. And best of all: free parking places!
We also did their (only?) tour to get further in the desert to see their camel and goat farms, with the sunset view at the end. This is fun, although overpriced (30 rial).

The location is pristine. Some distance away from the other camps, we were not disturbed by "traffic" noise.
The camp is located in a pit, surrounded by dunes. A short walk up these dunes offers you a fantastic view point. Spectacular.
The staff was extremely friendly. Always acknowledging our presence, always helping if needed.
Star-gazing at night. Just unbelievable to see so many stars. We forget that there are so many when we live in the city. Bring a star gazing app, and you're in for a treat.
The dessert 'ceremony' after dinner prepared in from of you around a camp fire was very cool. A nice touch.

We met the hosts at their office in Al Wasl/Bidiah.
We decided to leave our car there and catch a hop with one of the driver (OMR 35) as we are not experienced in driving in the desert. In retrospect, it was a good call as some sections of the trail were treacherous.
We could pay for our stay by card at their office.
It took us around 20 minutes to reach the camp. It already was a nice introduction to the desert.
When there, we were welcomed with dates, halwa and Omani coffee by the owner, Saeed. A friendly character who speaks perfect English and who has travelled a lot.
We were then taken to our bungalow which, although simple, was comfortable and cute.
An hour later (December trip), we were taken to the top of high dunes some 5 minutes away to witness the sunset.
What a wonderful experience that was. Just sitting there, in silence in front of the immensity of the desert.
The camp offers a variety of activities such as camel riding, sand boarding, dune bashing, etc.

Our stay at Bidiya Dunes Camp was amazing. I highly recommend anyone to choose the Camp in order to get an authentic experience of the Wahiba Sand desert. Abdul was a great host who took care of everything, starting from picking us at Bidiya, grabbing some diner for us, showing us around, and picking us back. The location is absolutely fantastic and you'll have the opportunity not only to watch the stars at night around the fire but also to contemplate the sunset/sunrise on the top of the dunes. Memories are engraved in our mind. Thanks again for making it special.
There's free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. Towels and bed linen are featured in the luxury tent. The property has an outdoor dining area.

Very nice host and nice atmosphere in the camp. Good buffets for dinner and breakfast. Nice bedroom’s huts and shared simple shower and restrooms. All very well organized. Could enjoy a walk in the desert at sunset and look at the beautiful sky after dinner.
Our stay at Homex4 was wonderful. The accommodation was spacious, clean & tidy, as well as well situated. Our hosts met us when we arrived and were able to make sure we made it to the top of the sand dunes to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. We had a lovely, homely welcome to the dinner - where we had some homemade barbecue, fresh vegetables and delicious local biryani made by our hosts and spent the evening looking at the stars ( you can also stay in the camp overnight, where the dinner was held ). In the morning our hosts also brought us to see the sunset on the dunes, followed by a lovely breakfast and a camel ride. It was a truly wonderful experience, made more special by our wonderful hosts and their hospitality. Would recommend any time!
