The view from 'The View' is stunning!
Facilities are all right, clean, spacious, toilet/shower all right. Breakfast was very good.
Not much to do around the hotel, but hanging around on the patio, enjoying the views with a cup of tea is great enough.
We didn't try the swimming pool as we arrived quite late.

The farm grounds were fantastic - the pool and surrounding area was clean, there were many different options for outdoor seating, the baboons were interesting (but is it fair to keep baboons in a cage in the middle of Oman?!) and the maintenance guy was quite helpful and friendly. Although not in great condition, the pool table and ping pong tables were fun for kids. The owner was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. He brought us extra kitchen items when requested as well as coffee and dates. He checked on us regularly via WhatsApp.

The location was perfect for the outdoor activities that we did. Also, close to Misfah, Bahla, Nizwa. having a kitchen and cooking our own meals with what we like best. Clean and well-stocked kitchen.

We stayed in Old Al Hamra at the Al Bait Aljabal Hospitality Inn which was wonderful. Beautifully artistically decorated. The very helpful owner found a local guide for us Abdul Rahman Alabri to take us in his 4x4 to Jebel Shams to do the Balcony Walk. AbdulRachman was truly excellent with a lovely kind personality. Very informative. I would never have managed the Balcony Walk without him as, although a hill walker, I can experience a fear of heights. The Balcony Walk has big drops on it though you are never truly exposed. Being with a local guy who knew what he was doing gave me confidence. His cousin owns a lovely cafe Saef in amongst the palm trees in old Al Hamra. You really are away from the commercial side of tourism there. Al Hamra can act as a base for many other places in the mountains. Easy to get to Misfah for example

Traditional and very quite place in the middle of a small heritage village. Friendly and helpful staff. As a family of five, we had booked two rooms. One with bathroom, the other one had shared bathroom on the floor. All very clean and comfortable to use. Great old style Omani flair within the house. Definitely suitable for families and well located to have day trips around the area as there is plenty to see and all nearby. 24/7 access, however, check-in before 11pm recommended. We would have appreciated a breakfast included in our price.

Good base for exploring surrounding mountains and villages. Very kind and attentive host. I just only asked if in the appartment is microwave and he bought one. Quiet place, even just beside the main road (228 hostel is in the building with small shop – follow sign „SELLING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS“ in the basement) but guest room windows are facing backyard. Good and fast wifi. Washing machine and iron is available.
The room feels like a 5 star hotel vibes. New furnitures with complete toiletries. With beautiful shared lounge, shared kitchen and kids play area. Very advisable to stay here if travelling near or in Al Hamra area.
Nice location but difficult access, especially that we had rain over our stay and could not really enjoy the view from the hotel. But staff and dinner were great.
