If you are in the area and have a Chance to stay here: Do it. You wont regret. I Was 2 weeks in Oman and this was by far the best location. Outside: Garden Paradise. Inside: Modern, clean. A dream.

The location of this place is amazing! In the town of Misfah, it is close to Jebel Shams and Nizwa, while still giving you a small town feel with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from the balcony. Ahmed and Ali run this bed and breakfast which feels very familiar and cozy. They provide home cooked meals and are always on call to help out. The rooms are simple and comfortable. If you want a more personal place with great food and chats then this is the spot for you! Also Ahmed has a farm and small beekeeping operation you can visit

The hotel was newly renovated, the rooms are big and spacious. The AC was working well. The breakfast was cheap and delicious. It is a nice stay if you want to split your travels a little. It's very close to Jabreen castle and Bahla fort on the other side.

Overall, it’s a good place for a one-night stay, offering a unique experience with its old buildings and proximity to the fort. However, due to some of the inconveniences, I wouldn’t recommend staying for more than a couple of days . On the positive side, the breakfast included in the stay and served at the restaurant above was really tasty.
We liked the tour of the Sheikh's house in Bait Al Safah (...
We liked the tour of the Sheikh's house in Bait Al Safah (بيت الصفاة) but, perhaps because we visited on a Sunday, the tour was not given by an Omani, though Muhammad was very knowledgeable of the house's history. We grabbed juice at a little shop in town and steered clear of Zhoor Hamra Restaurant مطعم زهور الحمراء this time around because the proprietor overcharged us AND asked for a tip the last time. There's a great little restaurant up in Misfah run by an Omani family with a great view of Al Hamra, which served us a delicious Omani lunch of homemade machboos.
