Lovely room with view out over gardens and pond, and what was probably beautiful scenery which due to the weather we could not see. The included continental style breakfast was very nice. The young German lady Fransisca who appeared to do everything at the hotel was really lovely, helpful and friendly, a great front of house asset.

On arrival the lady at reception was lovely and offered good dining suggestions. Room was single level making access easy with luggage. Spacious room that was well heated, modern and very clean. Large spa bath was a bonus. Definitely recommend

Amazing and friendly staff, Kim was incredible.
When there was a power outage she brought us boiling water in a kettle to make tea whilst we waited for it to come back on.

Absolutely amazing this place is fantastic! Bernie & Gerard are very lovely, kind and caring. The accomodation is clean and spacious. The location is excellent if you want to enjoy your time in Franz Josef with great hikes around.
You have a lot of choice for breakfast which is very delightful. Bernie & Gerard go above and beyond everything with their service. I definitely recommend this on all aspects its by far the best place in Franz Josef

Such a peaceful location with stunning mountain views. Had a great night with the other guests chatting around the dining table. Unfortunately I grabbed a bite to eat before arriving and missed the amazing dinner they were having but was able to enjoy a few glasses of wine and their company. The bed was so comfortable and much appreciated after my all day trip from Wellington. Woke up to the sound of bird song and the distant moo of a cow. The view of the sun rising over Mount Adam from the lounge with fresh coffee in hand set the tone for the rest of my day. Breakfast was generous, hearty and delicious. Much, much better than a Motel stay and felt more like visiting friends.
