The layout and facilities were amazing. I stayed in the 2-bedroom space and there was so much available, beautiful bathroom, kitchenette and family room as well as two comfortable bedrooms. There were plenty of heating options. The hall itself is available to go into, look at and I had breakfast a beautifully redesigned/repurposed church - a magical stay!

Bed was absolutely fine, massive size. Shower was very good, with ample hot water and good pressure. Room was clean, and while there was a kettle, there was no toaster, which is a little unusual. Staff cleaned the room each day, and we received new towels each day, replacement tea and coffee. Bar staff were helpful and cheerful, and reception was also cheerful.

south Canterbury, is a wonderful place to visit, this time all the cherry blossoms were out. rhododendrons out & azaleas to, a mass of blossoms everywhere. we ate at the old bank in Timaru( on a Monday, for lunch, the place was full) food great & service very pleasant. also had morning & afternoon Tea, at the Farm Shop, in Geraldine( prices were, very high )I had an iced chocolate ( no ice-cream or cream ) my fault,I have been caught before, my forgetting to ask if its made from ice. Cost $ 8.50 & was not nice at all. Its easy driving around in new Zealand

A small town we stayed overnight only.
A small town we stayed overnight only. Had a beer at the local pub and dinner at the excellent Austin92 restaurant in the evening. Close to the larger centre Oamaru which we spent some time in. The quiet environment in our excellent accommodation made for a relaxing stay towards the end of a busy trip. Didn't see much of Temuka but thoroughly enjoyed the bits we did.

We stayed in Temuka because the accommodation was cheaper than in Timaru or Geraldine. It is a central location, but there is not much to do while you are there. We walked the main street and found a small antique shop. There was a popular restaurant. We did not book early enough, so we had to travel to Timaru for dinner.

Temuka's great main village street is typical of small -town NZ with Victorian and Edwardian frontages above street verandas . Temuka began its European life as "Wallingford" , a town surveyed in 1863 by Samuel Hewlings one of the first Eurpeans to settle in this area. Also on the main road into town on HWY One at 199 King Street are two magnificent giant Redwood trees planted in 1886 and still standing tall and strong ...Welcome to Temuka.

We were only staying the one night (Wednesday) on the way to Dunedin as we left Christchurch when husband got home from work. We looked in the shops before we left and bought meat at the butchers. We had several holidays in a cabin at the motor camp back in the 1960's.

A place with plenty of history and a delightful ambience. Plush period style furnishings with all the modern conveniences hidden away in subtle places.
Could easily spend more time there if we were to return to Temuka.
Hayley made us feel very welcome and provided us with much of the interesting local history. There were plenty of quality books provided with interesting facts of the region.
Fantastic, historic accomodation. Lovely host. The spa bath was great as was the lovely wee garden in the evening sunshine. Round the corner is a fantastic restaurant. Who knew that Temuka could be so cool!
