Beautiful place, right on the Lake. We had a lakefront studio and the room was beautiful, immaculate, comfortable and had a great view from the balcony. The whole place was beautiful and the staff we met friendly and helpful. The food was the best dinner we have had since visiting NZ!

it was close to all the shops and restaurants entertainment pub's n clubs a good location in Taupo I would definitely come back here. One down side is the stairs we were on the top floor and had all our luggage having travelled on a international flight but would still stay here again

I come specifically for the Wairakei Thermal Spa. I just love that place. Taupo itself was good: a lovely range of eating facilities and places to visit - a very good holiday destination. I dined at Jolly Good Fellows: good food, good service.

Can see the pool there. Unfortunately we did have time to visit. And there is sauna n heat pools. May be next time we can ask our patents or family member to visit once at the end.

Great Place to visit with heaps of motels resturants and stuff to do just dont stay at the Grandeur Thermal Spa Resort, down Spa road black mould spores in room on window trim & back of curtains plus window as well. The cleaners there do a crap job cleaning room had rubbish that was there from last people, dead animals bones in garden also needed to Air out rooms smelled mouldly like it had been closed up for some time plus had asthma attack at 3am not worth breathing in black mould spores because it could stuff up your breathing for life, really I would not recommed this motel even not worth the cheap rates if you book online, you could end up in hospital with beathing problems forever, there slackness for peoples health and well being for a profit is so wrong, they really doesn't deseve your money, and you may get a killer diease that will mess with your lungs and health forever, stay away :) safe travels :)

I loved Taupo.
I loved Taupo. So incredibly beautiful being able to walk around the lake, stay on the lake and eat on the waterfront. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Huka Falls Jet Boat and the thermal pools nearby. I so enjoyed Taupo.

Taupo is a great place to visit. Huka Falls is a must. Shopping is excellent with a huge selection of restaurants and coffee bars. The lakeside is nice for sitting in the sun and there is plenty of activities along it, or one can just sit and watch. Taupo is suitable for all ages.

We booked eMotel in a whim, we just needed a place to stay in Taupo on our way south. I'm happy to say we'd 100% stay again. The rooms are large, clean and for us anyway the added bonus of a washer/dryer. We made full use of that as we'd been traveling for a while. The motel is on a very quiet street only a minutes walk from stunning Lake Taupo. Super friendly owners, our only regret is we didn't stay longer.
Simply superb !! From start to finish this hotel / b&b was the highlight of our visit to NZ. A beautiful home with stunning views of the lake in Lake Taupo. The hosts are most gracious. The room was beautiful. Extremely large with a dressing area, balcony with a gorgeous view, jacuzzi bath tub and shower. Breakfast was plentiful and beautifully presented.
We’re very happy to stay in this motel. Bed comfortable, nice & clean. Good location, few minutes walk to Taupo lake. Shops & restaurants around, Thai restaurant next door. Friendly staff, great smiles & show us around. We’re love this motel & will come back again
