We were there for a lawn bowls tournament. If you have every wanted to play lawn bowls, they do a social roll up in the summer every Friday evening. Go along, you will find a good cash open bar and nice people with a really fun way to spend your time for anyone over the age of 10

WE had never been to Ranfurly, and were delighted to find such a pleasant town - quiet, friendly with good services. The local Four Square shop was big enough to satisfy our needs. Next time we'll try to stay longer!

Ranfurly is becoming a sad wee town with No Shops anymore think the community needs to do something about empty shops perhaps the owners need to look at what they are doing to the town and their community its really sad to see. We had nothing to do for about 2 hours and found nothing really to do so we had to go for a drive to fill in time. I know the cycle trail goes through the town but needs to be more to do for their stop in the town and only the pub for evening meals. 2 Cafe's were both fabulous and supported them

We were going away for a day and night. Could of stayed longer but will do next time. The park was great for our grandkids to play around on they really enjoyed the Jump pillow and my dad enjoyed the flying fox at the age of 78yrs.. Went to the ranfurly hotel for a meal on the saturday night was great with the kids. Nigel and Shelley were very accomodating and friendly. The motel rooms were sparkling clean. The meal at the pub was also nice.

Ranfurly is a lovely place to stay if peace and quiet is your thing, it is definitely our thing! Nearby is historic Naseby and St Bathans - both well worth visiting for their rich history. Central Otago is a wonderful place to visit year round, stunning scenery and friendly locals make it a treat to see.
