Stunning cabin with gorgeous water views. It had everything you would need for a relaxing stay. Loved the collection of books the owners provided - we loved reading the sweet had written notes inside, it gave a little glimpse into the owners and the love they have for each other.

This is a beautiful peaceful location on the Otago Peninsula...
This is a beautiful peaceful location on the Otago Peninsula with lovely views, lots of wildlife nearby and stunning vistas from the high road above the village. Lara change Castle is about 15 minutes drive away with the Royal Albatross centre about 20 minutes down to the end of the peninsula. It you like serenity then you will like it here. If you are after the city life and party scene then I would not recommend.

Portobello is a beautiful part of Dunedin, located on Octago...
Portobello is a beautiful part of Dunedin, located on Octago Peninsular, which is spectacular!!
Right at the end of the peninsular is The Albatross Centre which is a must see, you will see these beautiful large birds nesting and flying around all year except October. There is also a penguin parade, Monarch cruises you get to see wildlife out at sea, Natures Wonderland to see sea lions and rare penguins. The beaches and walking trails are stunning. Dunedin City is great to visit with two great museums, botanical gardens, cafes and shopping. It's a fantastic small city. Bus 18 gets you into the City centre within 30 minutes from Porttobello. The locals all across are so friendly and helpful and the Uni Students make this City alive with good vibes. Dunedin is a jewel.

Lovely large room and spotlessly clean.
Lovely large room and spotlessly clean. Nice little extra touches, hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely views and quiet area, close to the albatross viewing and Lanarch Castle. We really enjoyed our meal at the 1908 restaurant which is very close by. We would definitely stay again.

We liked everything about this place: the location, sited high on a hill with a great view; our spacious room; the excellent breakfast. Our room had its own entrance to the garden (as well as entrance from the front hall of the house). The garden was well tended and full of flowers. A tui came often to the bird feeder in front of our window. We enjoyed both the restaurants in Portobello, and we loved the peninsula.
Treetops is a wonderful B&B, nestled in amongst the garden with a beautiful view from a large window that overlooks Portobello. It's a great place to relax in. Lovely and clean, comfortable and roomy. The breakfast is a lovely continental breakfast with a good selection.
Thankyou Brenda and Wayne for a lovely stay, Portobello is just beautiful.
Kind regards, Cecily (West)
Great hospitality from Brenda the owner. Lovely birdsong from bellbirds and tuis in the the morning. Well kept garden and the deck is nice. Nice location on hillside with peep views of Portobello and the adjacent Bay. Close to town and food. Good access to hiking spots like Sandymount Wildlife Refuge and Allan's Beach, close to Highcliff Road. Very good pricing.
Beautiful house with sea view and gardens with birdsong. Underfloor heating in the bathroom did the chilly mornings and evenings was most welcome. Loved the fact you could walk into Portobello along a back-garden trail. Anna friendly and made ideal suggestions re where to go; also made the best scrambled eggs! 😋
Brenda is an excellent host. The location in Portobello ist wonderful and the view stunning. Brenda gave us support in the planning of our activities. We spent a very pleasant time in Portobello and the B&B.
